摘要: A method for merging really simple syndication (RSS) feeds. Stories containing one or more terms may be merged into one or more clusters based on one or more links between the stories. A cluster frequency with which the terms occur in each cluster may be determined. A diameter for each cluster may be determined. A cluster that is most similar to one of the clusters may be determined based on the cluster frequency. The most similar cluster with the one of the clusters may be determined based on each diameter, and each cluster frequency.

摘要: Embodiments of the claimed subject matter provide a method and system for predicting bidding keyword monetization. The claimed subject matter provides a method and system with which the value of a keyword for the purpose of relevant online advertisement may be evaluated according to various metrics to determine a bidding landscape for use in advertising campaigns. The value of the keyword considers certain attributes related to the monetization of the keyword. One embodiment of the claimed subject matter is implemented as a method for predicting keyword monetization for one or more keyword-advertisement relationships. Historical data for the one or more keyword-advertisement relationships is referenced and used to generate a global model of the one or more keyword-advertisement relationship. The relationships are then evaluated according to a time-series analysis, which parses the data from the historical data and the global model to create predictions for the keyword monetization according to the keyword-advertisement relationships.

摘要: In certain aspects, the invention features articles that have a first layer including a plurality of rows of a first material extending along a first direction, the rows being spaced apart from each other and a center of each adjacent row being separated by a distance less than a wavelength λ, and a second layer supported by the first layer, the second layer including a second material. The first layer is configured to transmit about 50% or more of radiation of wavelength λ having a first polarization state incident on the first layer along a path and to specularly reflect about 80% or more of radiation of wavelength λ having a second polarization state incident on the first layer along the path, the first and second polarization states being orthogonal. The second layer is configured so that the article specularly reflects about 10% or less of the radiation of wavelength λ having the second polarization incident on the article along the path, where the path intersects the first and second layers.

摘要: In accordance with embodiments of the invention, embedded interaction code (EIC) symbols are recognized. EIC dots are generated based on effective EIC symbols, which have been generated by processing an image containing the EIC symbols, by obtaining graylevels of selected positions of the EIC-symbols. Rotated EIC dots are generated based on the EIC dots by determining which grid cells correspond to the EIC symbols and by determining which direction is a correct orientation of the EIC symbols. A homography matrix is updated with orientation information based on the EIC dots. EIC bits are extracted from the rotated EIC dots based on graylevels of selected positions of the rotated EIC dots.

摘要: Techniques for providing camera based code reading are disclosed. In some aspects, a camera-readable code is generated which may be read by a code reading device. The code reading device may capture an image of the code, process the image, and decode the code. The code includes symbols arranged to form a pattern. According to one or more embodiments, an image with the code is cropped to remove extraneous information. The code image is manipulated by exact binary segmentation to remove background information from the code. The code is oriented to a grid using an interval value defined between the symbols. The symbols are decoded by comparing unique aspects of the symbols using a statistical analysis. The decoded symbols may be converted to a message for a user or be used for other purposes.

摘要: A process and apparatus for determining the location of a captured array from a larger image is described. A non-repeating sequence may be folded into a non-repeating array in which the array is unique for every neighboring window of a given size. A portion of the array of the neighboring window may be captured and a subset of extracted bits corresponding to the captured array is decoded to identify error bits. The location of the captured array is determined within the non-repeating array by further processing the decoded bits.

摘要: Computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions and apparatuses detect a table in a handwritten document. Line segments are derived from drawing strokes so that a bounding frame of a candidate table is obtained. An associated table structure is consequently recognized from the bounding frame, lines segments within the bounding frame, and their intersection points. A classifier that reflects at least one table characteristic is determined, and the candidate table is consequently validated or rejected.

摘要: Disclosed embodiments of the invention relate to analyzing document images, which contain positionally encoded information, such as a maze-pattern watermark, and labeling the images based on a degree to which the document's content, such as text, occludes the position-encoding information. Depending on the degree of such occlusion, it may not be possible to extract enough position-encoding bits from a camera-captured image of the document to determine the camera-captured image's location within the document. An analysis-and-labeling module receives, as input, image data output by an image-generation-and-capturing module and off-line training data; performs analysis-and-labeling processing; and outputs image-label information. The results of document-analysis-and-labeling processing may be used for efficiently determining a location of a camera-captured image within a positionally encoded document.
