    摘要: A transmission efficient packet based display interface arranged to couple a multimedia source device to a multimedia sink device is disclosed. The transmission efficient interface includes a bi-directional auxiliary channel arranged to transfer information between the multimedia source device and the multimedia sink device and vice versa, wherein the information transferred over the auxiliary channel includes a set of packet attributes. The interface also includes a unidirectional main link arranged to carry a number multimedia data packets from the transmitter unit to the receiver unit each having a multimedia data packet header. In the described embodiment, each of the headers is substantially reduced in size over what would otherwise be necessary since the packet attributes are communicated via the auxiliary channel prior to the transmission of the main link packets over main link thereby minimizing the packet overhead and providing a very high main link efficiency.

    摘要: A high pressure shaft seal (10A) for use in a refrigerating machine wherein carbon dioxide is used as a refrigerant in lieu of “Freon”. The seal has a sealing lip (24A) made of a non-elastomeric polymer material such as nylon that has a small gas permeability coefficient, a region of the sealing lip brought into contact with a shaft to be sealed being lined with a low friction lining (26A) of polytetrafluoroethylene. The gas barrier sealing lip (24A) of nylon serves to effectively block permeation of carbon dioxide gas under an extremely high pressure of from about 4 MPa to about 12 MPa. The sealing lip (24A) of nylon has a relatively high rigidity but is nevertheless able to resiliently undergo elastic deformation when such a high pressure is applied, to thereby resiliently follow any shaft run-out to exhibit sufficient dynamic and static sealing functions.

    摘要: The present invention provides a composite piezoelectric transducer having a piezoelectric ceramic, an organic polymer, and an electrode group formed only on surfaces of the piezoelectric ceramic. The groove is formed, having a depth 50% to 90% of the thickness of the piezoelectric ceramic. A ratio, between a width of a non-diced area formed by forming the groove on the piezoelectric ceramic and the depth of the groove is 0.2 to 0.7. An organic polymer is filled in the groove formed in the piezoelectric ceramic in a state including bubbles. The electrode group comprises a first electrode and a second electrode, the first electrode being formed on a first surface of the piezoelectric ceramic, and the second electrode being formed on a second surface of the piezoelectric ceramic, a side surface thereof, or on the second surface, the side surface and the first surface, the second surface being opposite to the first surface in the direction of the thickness of the piezoelectric ceramic. Thus, it has a high coefficient of electromechanical coupling (kt) in the direction of the thickness, and a reduced acoustic impedance, and preferably used especially in an ultrasonic cleaning equipment.

Thus, it has a high coefficient of electromechanical coupling (kt) in the direction of the thickness, and a reduced acoustic impedance, and preferably used especially in an ultrasonic cleaning equipment.

    摘要: A transistor has a source electrode and a drain electrode formed with a predetermined interval secured in between on a semiconductor layer formed to perspectively overlap a gate electrode. The source and drain electrodes are each longer in their lengthwise direction than in their widthwise direction. The source electrode has a recessed portion formed therein to allow the tip portion of the drain electrode in. The semiconductor layer protrudes out of the gate electrode to form a portion that does not overlap the gate electrode but overlaps the source electrode and a portion that does not overlap the gate electrode but overlaps the drain electrode. Thus, the protruding portion that overlaps the source electrode and the protruding portion that overlaps the drain electrode are separated from each other by the gate electrode so as to be independent of each other. This prevents short-circuiting between the source and drain that results when the portions of the semiconductor islands protruding out of the gate electrode become conductive through a photoelectric effect brought about by the light that travels past the gate electrode or by another cause.
