摘要: A signal source for use as a frequency source or time keeping signal source includes a radioactive emission source generating a substantially periodic signal corresponding to a radioactive material's disintegration rate. A radioactive emission detector generates a radioactive emission detection signal and, to stabilize the detected periodic signal, a dead time controlling attenuator blanks or shuts off the radioactive emission detection signal for a selected dead time interval in response to each detected radioactive emission (i.e., a detected signal pulse or signal component) generated by the source. The dead time controlling attenuator output provides a long-term and short-term a stable periodic signal.

摘要: In the field of data storage on limited rewritability storage media, handling frequently changing databases may lead to unequal wear of storage segments. The invention discloses a method for modifying a database file, which ensures maximally distributed segment wear in that any writing of data records uses a next available segment after the last written segment; and a reading method. A data carrier according to the method, containing a database file with records having version numbers is also disclosed.

摘要: A data transfer in a network comprises a first node sending out a request for a particular data unit, a second node receiving and analysing the request, detecting that it may provide the requested data unit and sending to the first node a message indicating that it may provide the requested data unit, the first node receiving and selecting the message and sending a second request to the second node to request transfer of the particular data unit, and the second node transferring the particular data unit upon reception of the second request. A method for assigning a priority to such data transfer in a network comprises the first node assigning an identifier corresponding to a first priority to the request, the second node evaluating the identifier and, based on the identifier, calculating a second priority and assigning the calculated second priority to said transfer.

摘要: A mounting apparatus for mounting a planar member (10) comprises a base (200), a pair of locking members (160) secured on the base, a supporting tray (130) secured on a bottom of the planar member and an operating shaft (110) pivotally attached to the supporting tray. A plurality of mounting holes (143) is defined in the supporting tray and each comprises an accommodating hole (142) and a retaining hole (144). A plurality of standoffs (210) formed on the base and each comprises a head portion (214) and a neck portion (212). A pair of arms is formed on the operating shaft and each defines a cutout for receiving the locking member. After the head portions of the standoffs are received in corresponding accommodating holes, the operating shaft is pushed towards the base. The planar member is attached to the base when the neck portions are received in corresponding retaining holes.

摘要: In a radio system having stations which are at least partially provided with a directional antenna, a first emitting station is provided with a directional antenna in a first spatial radio area. The first emitting station sends a direction information message indicating the spatial direction in which the data is to be transmitted. Transmission resources can be advantageously occupied based on the direction information message.
