Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for cell measurement scheduling mode selection. According to certain aspects, a method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE), generally includes selecting a first scheduling mode for performing cell measurements while the UE is in an idle state, in response to detecting at least one first triggering condition based on a comparison of a serving cell measurement to one or more neighbor cell measurements and performing cell measurements in accordance with the first scheduling mode, wherein the UE performs cell measurement more frequently when the first scheduling mode is selected than when a second scheduling mode is selected.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating multi-tasking and smart location selection during connected-mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) mode are disclosed herein. Example techniques disclosed herein enable a UE to perform multiple tasks during a same SSBS to reduce the number of wake-up SSBSs. For example, disclosed techniques enable a UE to perform RLM tasks and loop tracking tasks during a first SSBS and thereby reduce the number of wake-up SSBSs. In some examples, the UE may also perform the search task or the measurement task during the same first SSBS and, thereby, further reduce the number of wake-up SSBSs. Example techniques disclosed herein may also enable the UE to select which SSBS occurrences to wake-up for during the OFF duration of the CDRX cycle.

A user equipment (UE) may transmit a UE capability message, the UE capability message indicating a supported transmit antenna switching (TxAS) capability for each port of the UE. Abstract: Techniques are discussed herein identify transmission strategies and to communicate those identified transmission strategies in a transparent communication environment. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may identify a new transmission strategy for a downlink channel different from a current transmission strategy for the down link channel. The UE may transmit a channel state information (CSI) message that includes an indication of the new transmission strategy identified by the UE. In some examples, a base station may identify the new transmission strategy for the downlink channel. The base station may transmit a codebook subset restriction (CSR) indicator that includes an indication of the new transmission strategy identified by the base station. In some examples, the UE may modify its feedback strategy based on the new transmission strategy.

Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication is provided. The apparatus may be a receiver device that includes an error correction decoder, such as a low-density parity check (LDPC) decoder. The apparatus may achieve power savings and/or operation cycle savings by disabling the error correction decoder in scenarios where bits of a codeword in a signal transmission are received without errors. The apparatus obtains a first set of bits of a codeword, wherein the codeword includes the first set of bits and a second set of bits, and wherein the second set of bits is punctured. The apparatus recovers the second set of bits based on at least the first set of bits and determines whether to operate an error correction decoder based on a result of an error detection operation performed on the codeword using the first set of bits and the second set of bits.
