Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may generate blockage transformation information associated with one or more blockage scenarios based on one or more adaptive beam weights used for blockage mitigation at the UE associated with respective positions of a body or hand relative to one or more antennas of the UE. The blockage transformation information may include an indication of a transformation matrix used for a transformation of a first electric field matrix associated with a non-blockage scenario to a second electric field matrix associated with a blockage scenario. The UE may transmit a message indication the blockage transformation information to a machine learning server, which may generate adaptive beam weights for hand or body blockage mitigation based on messages received from multiple UEs. The machine learning server may transmit the adaptive beam weights to a UE entering a network.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An assistive node may include circuitry for operating in an amplifying mode and operating in a reflecting mode. The assistive node may transmit a message to a network entity indicating that the assistive node is capable of operating in an amplifying mode or a reflecting mode. The network entity may transmit scheduling information to the assistive node for a packet transmission to be reflected or amplified by the assistive node to a wireless device, for example, because a direct path between the network entity and the wireless device is blocked. The network entity may transmit control signaling to the assistive node configuring the assistive node to either reflect or amplify the packet transmission to the wireless device. The assistive node may reflect or amplify the packet transmission to the wireless device based on the control signaling.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability message that indicates an antenna module configuration, the antenna module configuration indicating an antenna module format of the UE. The UE may perform a beam management procedure according to a beam management mode associated with a frequency range and corresponding to the antenna module format and may receive, based on the beam management procedure, an indication of a set of parameters for communications using the frequency range. The UE may communicate, based on the set of parameters, one or more messages using the frequency range and one or more antenna modules. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may receive an indication of a resource allocation for a beam weighting procedure, the resource allocation corresponding to the antenna module format of the UE and may perform the beam weighting procedure using the resource allocation.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless node may transmit, to another wireless node, information related to one or more properties of a first antenna array associated with the wireless node. The wireless node may receive, from the other wireless node, information related to one or more properties of a second antenna array associated with the other wireless node. The wireless node may communicate with the other wireless node over a wireless link using one or more beams associated with an operating frequency, wherein the operating frequency is based at least in part on the one or more properties of the first antenna array and the one or more properties of the second antenna array. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may communicate, using a first set of active antenna elements of an antenna array, during a first time period. The network node may activate a second set of active antenna elements based on a dynamic antenna set switching scheme, wherein the second set of active antenna elements includes at least one active antenna element not included in the first set, wherein a difference between a first main lobe property and a second main lobe property satisfies a main lobe threshold, and wherein a difference between a first side lobe property and a second side lobe property satisfies a side lobe threshold. The network node may communicate, using the second set of active antenna elements, during a second time period. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). For example, the UE receives a first indication indicating a same quasi co-location (QCL) mapping for multiple receive beams corresponding to a group of transmit and receive beam pairs from a network entity. Transmit and receive beam pairs are different from each other and grouping of the transmit and receive beam pairs is based on a distance between the UE and the network entity. The UE selects one of the multiple receive beams corresponding to the group of transmit and receive beam pairs, based on the distance between the UE and the network entity.
