Abstract: A method of wireless communication at a transmitting device includes adding parity check bits to a set of information bits. The method also includes generating a non-coherent transmission signal by mapping the parity check bits and the set of information bits into a sequence of complex symbols. Further, the method may include transmitting the non-coherent transmission signal to a receiving device. A method of wireless communication at a receiving device includes receiving, from a transmitting device, a non-coherent signal having at least one segment. Each segment comprises a sequence of complex symbols corresponding to information bits and parity check bits. The method also includes jointly detecting the sequences from each segment of the received non-coherent signal by using the parity check bits.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques are described herein for managing timers for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes associated with multiple configured grants that are active at the same time. Techniques are also described herein for allocating HARQ identifiers (IDs) to HARQ processes associated with multiple configured grants that are active at the same time. A user equipment (UE) may configure timers to be associated with a HARQ ID and a configured grant. A base station or UE may include indicators of the configured grants associated with a HARQ process when exchanging signaling about the HARQ process. A UE may allocate HARQ IDs to multiple configured grants to reduce a likelihood that HARQ processes collide.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment determine that a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) communication, scheduled by an uplink grant, and a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) communication, corresponding to a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) communication scheduled by a downlink grant, are scheduled to overlap in one or more symbols; determine a threshold time based at least in part on an earliest scheduled starting time of the PUSCH communication or the PUCCH communication; selectively multiplex the PUSCH communication and the PUCCH communication based at least in part on whether the uplink grant, the downlink grant, and the PDSCH communication are received before the threshold time; and transmit the PUSCH communication, the PUCCH communication, or both the PUSCH communication and the PUCCH communication based at least in part on the selective multiplexing. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: According to some examples, a base station may allocate uplink and/or downlink resources (e.g., in the time domain, frequency domain, spatial domain) to user equipment (UEs), or groups of UEs, that may be subsequently reallocated. For example, a base station may determine a reallocation of uplink resources, and may issue a preemption indication (e.g., a cancelation indication) that may correspond to at least a portion of a random access resource. UEs may be configured to monitor for preemption indications and, based on received preemption indications, UEs may determine whether or not to proceed with transmission of a random access message using a random access resource that at least partially overlaps with resources indicated by the preemption indication. For example, a UE may transmit, or preempt transmission of, a random access message based on a preemption configuration of the UE (e.g., configured rules for UE preemption of random access resources).

Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided that enable use of a full transmission power for a UE having a first set of coherent antenna ports that is non-coherent to a second set of coherent antenna ports. The apparatus determines a transmission power for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission from at least one antenna port including splitting the transmission power among multiple antenna ports having non-zero power without scaling the transmission power, and wherein the UE includes at least a first antenna port that is non-coherent to a second antenna port. Then, the apparatus transmits the PUSCH transmission using the determined transmission power.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support use of common sequence pools for non-coherent transmissions according to one or more aspects. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes converting, by a wireless communication device, an information bit stream to an integer value. The method also includes selecting, by the wireless communication device, a sequence from a common sequence pool based on the integer value. The common sequence pool has a nested structure of sequences which map different length information bit streams with the same most significant bit or bits to the same sequences. The method further includes transmitting, by the wireless communication device, a non-coherent transmission indicating the sequence. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication. The techniques include a method wireless communication by a user equipment including receiving a configuration message, wherein the configuration message in part configures the UE to communicate coordinated transmissions with a plurality of transmission reception points using a coordinated transmission mode. The method further includes, receiving one or more physical downlink shared channel transmissions from a plurality of transmission reception points in accordance with the coordinated transmission mode. The method further includes, selecting a HARQ-ACK feedback mode based in part on the coordinated transmission mode. The method further includes, transmitting HARQ-ACK feedback to at least one of the plurality of transmission reception points using the selected HARQ-ACK feedback mode.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station as part of a wireless communications system. The UE may identify a configuration for one or more repetitions of an uplink control channel transmission, where each repetition of the one or more repetitions including a first quantity of symbols indicated by the configuration. The UE may determine a quantity of resource blocks for each repetition of the one or more repetitions. The UE may then identify that a second quantity of symbols is available to the UE to transmit a repetition of the one or more repetitions, and the second quantity of symbols may be less than the first quantity of symbols. The UE may transmit, to a base station, the repetition on the using the quantity of resource blocks for each repetition with the first quantity of symbols.
