    Abstract: A novel display panel that is highly convenient or reliable is provided. A novel input/output panel that is highly convenient or reliable is provided. A novel data processing device that is highly convenient or reliable is provided. The display panel includes a layer containing a liquid crystal material, a first pixel, a second pixel, and an anti-reflection structure. The layer containing a liquid crystal material includes a first region, a second region, and a third region. The first pixel includes the first region. The second pixel includes the second region. The anti-reflection structure includes a region overlapping with the third region. The anti-reflection structure has a function of reducing reflectance of visible light which enters through the layer containing a liquid crystal material.

    Abstract: A display device with low power consumption and high display quality is provided. The display device includes first and second electrodes. One pixel includes a region in which the distance between the first electrode and the second electrode is constant and a region in which the distance varies; this structure allows the switching operation of liquid crystal to start in a predetermined region, thereby improving the stability of the operation of the liquid crystal. A pixel region is divided into two regions in which the liquid crystals are aligned in the two respective directions when switching is performed, whereby viewing angle characteristics are improved. Furthermore, the supply of a potential to a third electrode suppresses alignment disorder of the liquid crystal and improves the display quality.

    Abstract: A display device with a wide viewing angle is provided. A display device with a high aperture ratio is provided. The display device includes a first display element, a second display element, and an insulating layer. The first display element includes a first pixel electrode configured to reflect visible light. The second display element is configured to emit visible light. The second display element includes a second pixel electrode and a common electrode. The first pixel electrode is positioned on an opposite side of the insulating layer from the second pixel electrode. The common electrode is positioned on an opposite side of the second pixel electrode from the insulating layer. A shortest distance X between a first plane and a second plane is longer than or equal to 500 nm and shorter than or equal to 200 μm. The first plane includes a plane of the first pixel electrode on the insulating layer side in a display region of the first display element, and the second plane includes a plane of the common electrode on the insulating layer side in a display region of the second display element.

    Abstract: A high-image-quality display device having a transmissive mode and a reflective mode is provided. Furthermore, the display device is manufactured with higher yield and higher productivity. In the display device, a transistor used for a transmissive liquid crystal display element, the transmissive liquid crystal display element, a transistor used for a reflective liquid crystal display element, and the reflective liquid crystal display element are stacked in this order between a pair of substrates. In a manufacturing process, one or two manufacturing substrates are used in addition to the pair of substrates included in the display device. The display device is manufactured in such a manner that a second liquid crystal and a second sealant provided to surround the second liquid crystal are bonded to a first liquid crystal sealed using a first sealant. The bonding process is performed such that the first sealant and the second sealant overlap with each other. Moreover, an end portion of the first sealant which is in contact with the first liquid crystal is substantially aligned with or positioned closer to the inner side of the display device than an end portion of the second sealant which is in contact with the second liquid crystal.

A pair of conductive layers included in a capacitive touch sensor have a mesh shape including a plurality of openings. Furthermore, the pair of conductive layers included in the touch sensor are provided between a pair of substrates included in the touch panel, and a light-transmitting conductive layer capable of supplying a constant potential is provided between a circuit which drives a display element and the pair of conductive layers.

    Abstract: In a light-emitting device where reflective electrodes are regularly arranged, occurrence of interference fringes due to reflection of light reflected by the reflective electrode is inhibited. A surface of the reflective electrode of a light-emitting element is provided with a plurality of depressions. The shapes of the plurality of depressions are different from each other and do not have rotational symmetry. Irregularity of the surface shape of the reflective electrode is increased, which inhibits interference of light reflected by the reflective electrode. To form the plurality of depressions in the surface of the reflective electrode, for example, a surface of an insulating layer that is a base of the reflective electrode is made uneven. Reflecting the surface shape of the insulating layer, the reflective electrode has an uneven surface.
