The second display element has a function of emitting visible light. The first transistor has a function of controlling the driving of the first display element. The second transistor has a function of controlling the driving of the second display element. The first transistor is positioned closer to a display surface side of the display device than the first display element is. The first display element is positioned closer to the display surface side of the display device than the second display element and the second transistor are.
Abstract:
An object is to improve productivity related to a laser light irradiation step in a bonding technique of substrates using glass frit. A highly airtight sealing structure or a highly airtight light-emitting device, which can be manufactured with high productivity, is provided. When a glass layer by melting glass frit or a sintered body by sintering glass frit is irradiated with laser light, in order to increase the efficiency, a light-absorbing material is attached to a surface of the glass layer. The laser light irradiation is performed on the light-absorbing material and the glass layer. The substrates are fixed with the glass layer therebetween.
Abstract:

The touch panel includes pixel electrodes arranged in a matrix, a plurality of signal lines, a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of first wirings extending in a direction parallel to the signal lines, and a plurality of second wirings extending in a direction parallel to the scan line. Part of the first wiring and part of the second wiring function as a pair of electrodes included in a touch sensor. The first wiring and the second wiring each have a stripe shape or form a mesh shape and are each provided between two adjacent pixel electrodes in a plan view.

Abstract:
A thin display device, a lightweight display device, or a bendable display device is provided. The display device can be fabricated by a method including a first step of forming a first electrode and a second electrode over a substrate such that they are apart from each other; a second step of sequentially forming a light-blocking layer over a support substrate, a resin layer covering the light-blocking layer, and a first coloring layer and a second coloring layer over the resin layer; a third step of bonding the substrate and the support substrate to each other with a liquid crystal layer containing liquid crystal, monomers, and a polymerization initiator positioned therebetween; a fourth step of performing light irradiation from the support substrate side so that the monomers in the liquid crystal layer are polymerized in a region not shielded by the light-blocking layer; and a fifth step of performing separation between the resin layer and each of the support substrate and the light-blocking layer to remove the support substrate and the light-blocking layer.
Abstract:
A sealed body which is sealed with low-melting-point glass and has high airtightness is provided. In the sealed body, at least a wiring layer is provided between two facing substrates, the two substrates are bonded together with the use of a sealing layer containing glass frits as a material, and a metal layer is selectively provided in a region where the wiring layer and the sealing layer overlap. In a laser light irradiation step, the metal layer functions as a laser light reflecting film and suppresses application of excess energy to a sealing member in a region overlapping with the wiring layer.

Abstract:
In a light-emitting device where reflective electrodes are regularly arranged, occurrence of interference fringes due to reflection of light reflected by the reflective electrode is inhibited. A surface of the reflective electrode of a light-emitting element is provided with a plurality of depressions. The shapes of the plurality of depressions are different from each other and do not have rotational symmetry. Irregularity of the surface shape of the reflective electrode is increased, which inhibits interference of light reflected by the reflective electrode. To form the plurality of depressions in the surface of the reflective electrode, for example, a surface of an insulating layer that is a base of the reflective electrode is made uneven. Reflecting the surface shape of the insulating layer, the reflective electrode has an uneven surface.
