摘要: In a first polishing step, or in a first half of a super precision polishing, a surface of a glass substrate is polished with a first suspension. The first suspension contains particles and a dispersion agent in which the particles are dispersed. The main ingredient of the particles is silicon dioxide (SiO2), and the average size (D50) of the particles is equal to or less than 100 nm. The dispersion medium comprises an acid solution the pH of which is equal to or less than 4. In a second polishing step, or in a latter half of the super precision polishing, the surface of the glass substrate is continuously polished with a second suspension. The second suspension contains particles and a dispersion agent in which the particles are dispersed. The main ingredient of the particles is silicon dioxide (SiO2), and the average size (D50) of the particles is equal to or less than 100 nm. The dispersion medium comprises an alkaline solution the pH of which is equal to or more than 8.5.

摘要: A microreactor is configured to have a metal substrate having a microchannel portion on one surface thereof, a heater provided on the other surface of the metal substrate via an insulating film, a catalyst supported on the microchannel portion, and a cover member having a feed material inlet and a gas outlet and joined to the metal substrate so as to cover the microchannel portion. Since the microreactor uses the metal substrate having a high thermal conductivity and a small heat capacity, the efficiency of heat conduction from the heater to the supported catalyst becomes high, and the processing of the metal substrate is easy to facilitate the production.

摘要: An information recording medium glass substrate manufactured by polishing the surface of a raw material glass plate. The polishing is divided into two steps, a step for performing a first polishing process to roughly polish the surface of the raw material glass plate to be smooth and a step for performing a second polishing process to finely polish the surface of the roughly polished raw material glass plate to be smoother. The second polishing process, using a polishing pad made of foam, is divided into two stages, pre-polishing with a polishing agent including abrasive grains of cerium oxide and post-polishing with a polishing agent including abrasive grains of silicon oxide. A rinsing process is performed between the pre-polishing and the post-polishing to rinse the raw material glass plate after the pre-polishing with a washing liquid to wash away the abrasive grains collected in the polishing pad in pre-polishing during the rinsing process.

摘要: An image encoder which attaches information unique to a frame to encoded moving-image data. An encoding unit compressively encodes moving-image data so as to produce pictures. First numbers respectively corresponding to the above pictures are obtained by counting the pictures. Frame information items unique to individual frames in the moving-image data are held in association with the first numbers, respectively. A header-information insertion unit receives ones of the above pictures, and inserts header information items into data of the ones of the pictures. Second numbers respectively corresponding to ones of the pictures are obtained by counting the ones of the pictures. The header-information insertion unit inserts one of the frame information items held in association with one of the first numbers identical to each of the second numbers, into a header information item corresponding to a predetermined portion of data of a picture which corresponds the second number.

摘要: The present invention provides a gene Any-RF derived from an insect, having dormancy-control activity and biological cell-control function; a dormancy-control substance and a method for preparing the same; as well as a biological cell-control agent, which comprises, as an effective component, a physiologically active substance having a biological cell-control function and which never causes any antigen-antibody reaction in the living body. The gene encodes for a protein having an amino acid sequence specified as Sequence No. 1 in SEQUENCE LISTING: Asp-Ile-Leu-Arg-Gly, whose C-terminal is amidated and having a molecular weight of 570.959. The physiologically active substance comprising such a gene is a peptide, which can be isolated and purified by adding an acid-methanol aqueous solution to Antheraea yamamai, triturating the resulting mixture, centrifuging the same and then treating the resulting supernatant in an HPLC system. The peptide permits the control of the dormancy of insects and is also useful as a biological cell-control agent, which comprises, as an effective component, such a peptide.
