Abstract:
An ECU for an engine is held in a circuit holding member provided in an air cleaner cap of an intake device. A space between the ECU and the circuit holding member is filled with a potting material, so that the ECU is fixed to the circuit holding member. As a result, the ECU can have high shakeproof properties not to cause malfunctions and not to be damaged by vibrations.
Abstract:
A two-layer optical disk has a first layer of a disk shaped recording medium for storing data and a second layer of a disk shaped recording medium placed over the first layer for storing data. Data blocks A, B, C are stored in the first layer in said order. Similarly, data blocks X, Y, Z are stored in the second layer in said order. When reading the data from the two-layer optical disk, the data blocks are read in the order of A, X, B, Y, C, Z.
Abstract:
An optical disk according to the present invention includes a first track having a spiral shape and a second track having a spiral shape, the first track and the second track adjoining each other, and information being recorded on or reproduced from the first track and the second track. The optical disk further includes an address region including: a first address block formed so as to be on both the first track and the second track adjoining the first track on an inner periphery side; and a second address block formed so as to be on both the first track and the second track adjoining the first track on an outer periphery side.
Abstract:
A read-only zone or control zone is formed in an optical information recording medium wherein information signal are formed in both grooves and lands. Grooves are not formed in the control zone or read-only zone, and read-only data such as control data, audio-video data, or computer data is pre-recorded as a sequence of pre-formed pits on the track center line. The track pitch of the pre-formed pit sequences in the control zone or read-only zone is equal to the groove pitch in the read-write zones.
Abstract:
An optical disk of the present invention has one or more recording tracks formed concentrically or spirally on the disk to which data signals are recorded by forming different-length marks and spaces on the tracks. An ID signal combining marks and spaces of two or more predetermined lengths approximately equal to the length of the marks and spaces forming the data signals is recorded to the recording tracks within a predetermined disk area, thus creating the ID signal by aligning the marks and spaces in the radial direction and recording the aligned marks and spaces to adjacent tracks in a predetermined radial disk area. Also, a reproduction apparatus for reproducing signals from the optical disk is disclosed.
Abstract:
A recording method and apparatus for an optical disk employs a data format having a fixed pattern sync portion in which a minimum run length of zeros and a maximum run length of zeros are not adjacent to each other. As such, temperature difference caused during recording the optical disk may be made smaller thermal stress applied upon the medium may be reduced, the deterioration thereof may be restrained, and the repetitive frequency of the medium may be improved.
Abstract:
A catalyst composition comprising: (a) a bis(cyclopentadienyl) transition metal compound, (b) at least one polarized compound selected from the group consisting of carbonyl group-containing compounds and epoxy group containing compounds, and (c) an organic lithium compound. It has a high hydrogenation activity and is useful for hydrogenating olefinically unsaturated polymers for providing the olefinically unsaturated polymers with excellent characteristics as superior weatherability, good heat resistance, superb oxidation resistance, and the like.
Abstract:
An information recording/reproducing apparatus for an information storage medium comprising sectors each having a data area composed of a read-only data area and a writable data area. Data in the read-only data area are formed through pressing or the like, and when the data in the read-only data area are to be renewed, renewed data are recorded in the writable data area so that it is made possible to form a large quantity of correctable read-only data.
Abstract:
A musical-tone-generating-control apparatus including a number of musical-tone-signal-generating channels, each of which generates musical-tone signals having tone pitches designated by tone-pitch information and having tone colors determined by tone-color information. These tone-pitch information and tone-color information are supplied to a musical-tone-signal-generating channel selected by predetermined rules. One of the rules is that a newly entered key-code is assigned to a musical-tone-signal-generating channel which has been generating a musical-tone signal whose tone color is the same as that of the newly entered key-code. Thus tone-color-control parameters need not be transferred to the channel, and this saves time necessary for the transfer, resulting in a speeding up of processing. Other similar rules are also used resulting in similar advantages.
Abstract:
An axial flow fan has a casing having an air flow passage therein which terminates at one end in an air inlet port and at the other end in an air outlet port. A hub carrying fan blades is rotatably disposed within the casing and rotationally driven by a motor contained interiorly of the hub. A set of stays support the motor and hub on the casing. Projections are provided on the casing and/or hub in the region of the outlet port to effectively divide air swirls which tend to form at the outlet port into smaller size swirls thereby reducing energy losses and improving efficiency.
