摘要: A device for arranging images three-dimensionally in perspective as partially overlapping pages is disclosed so that a user can visually and intuitively manage the displayed images. The display image operating has means for manipulating a plurality of pre-stored images through buttons or a pointing device to select and display images. Image displaying means are provided for displaying on the same display screen in three-dimensional perspective a central first image group having a plurality of images arranged as pages overlapping sequentially from top to bottom, and second and third image groups disposed one on either side of the first image group at a prescribed distance therefrom and having a plurality of images arranged as fanned out pages overlapping sequentially from top to bottom with a portion of the images displayed on the display screen.

摘要: Noise reduction is performed on the basis of characteristics of an image in a detection range. A noise reduction block 4′ performs a second-order differentiation process and a symmetry process to decide adjacent pixels with which noise reduction is preformed for an attention pixel. With the pixel level of the attention pixel in the detection range and the pixel levels of adjacent pixels used for noise reduction, an arithmetic mean processing section 16 calculates a mean value. A median filter 17 selects a median value. With the number of pixels used for noise reduction, it is determined whether the image in the detection range contains a flat portion, a ramp portion, or an edge. The mean value and the median value are weight-added with a weighted coefficient that are changed on the basis of characteristics of the image. The result is substituted for the level of the attention pixel. When the attention pixel is an isolated point, an all-pixel median filter section 31 selects a medium value of the levels of all the pixels in the detection range including the attention pixel and substitutes the median value for the level of the attention pixel.

摘要: A packaging member (1, 80, 100) is provided with easy-opening means (7, 85, 107, 108) for allowing the packaging member to be opened easily, wherein the easy-opening means is either positionally or structurally improved. As one example, the packaging member is a packaging bag (1, 80), in which the easy-opening means serves as a tearing start point when opened with the use of the easy-opening means. The easy-opening portion is formed at a position slightly shifted inward from a perimeter edge of the packaging bag. As another example, the packaging member is a packaging container (100), in which the easy-opening means is structurally improved.

摘要: A transmitter employing variable gain amplifiers and operating with both constant and nonconstant envelope modulation systems is contrived to suppress variation in the transmitting power when constant envelope modulation is performed. The transmitter comprises a PM loop, an AM loop, and a variable gain amplifier which is shared by the PM loop and the AM loop and combines phase information that the PM loop outputs and envelope information that the AM loop outputs by gain control. The variable gain amplifier comprises a variable gain amplifier body having a supply voltage terminal and a bias current detection terminal for extracting a bias current corresponding to a gain, wherein the gain changes with a change in the potential of the supply voltage terminal, and a bias control block connected to the supply voltage terminal and the bias current detection terminal. Thereby, a bias control loop is formed to control the bias current so that the gain in the case of constant envelope modulation becomes a predetermined value.

摘要: An engine lubrication system having a lubricating oil pump that is rotationally driven by a crankshaft to send under pressure a lubricating oil to a part needing to be lubricated. The lubricating oil pump is connected to an end of a crankshaft such that a pump shaft aligns with the crankshaft substantially coaxially. An in-pump oil supply passageway is formed in the lubricating oil pump to pass therethrough from a side opposite the crankshaft to a side of the crankshaft. The in-pump oil supply passageway communicates at one end with an in-crankshaft oil supply passageway formed in the crankshaft for supplying a lubricating oil to a part of the crankshaft and at the other end with a discharge port of the lubricating oil pump via a lubricating oil passageway.

摘要: A read processing method and a reproduction system for continuously reading out an audio/visual data from a storage medium. When a data cannot be read out from storage medium, a data having a predetermined pattern is transferred so as to prevent operational deadlock caused by an error data even when the audio/visual data is transferred continuously. This method enables to allow to transfer audio/visual data continuously. Also, an application for reproducing data enables to identify an error, enabling to avoid the application falling into a non-executable condition or the system falling into a hung-up condition. In addition, because whether a retry is needed is determined when error data is transferred, it becomes possible to avoid an unnecessary retry in reproducing audio/visual or the like.

摘要: A transmitter that can reduce noise without using an SAW filter whose IC integration is hard, and copes with two modulation formats of constant envelope modulation and non-constant envelope modulation, and a downsized and low-cost wireless communication apparatus that uses the transmitter are provided. The transmitter includes a quadrature modulator that modulates an input signal by quadrature modulation, a first amplifier that amplifies a modulation signal outputted by the quadrature modulator, and a second amplifier that amplifies an output signal of the first amplifier. The first amplifier operates as a limiter when the modulation format is the constant envelope modulation, and performs linear operation when the modulation format is the non-constant envelope modulation.
