摘要: This invention allows printing an image with less image deterioration with respect to a document including both text and an image. An image processing apparatus includes a pixel value acquisition unit which acquires a pixel value of a pixel as a target in an input digital image, and a pixel value correction/modification processing unit which executes a correction/modification process based on the pixel value of the pixel acquired by the pixel value acquisition unit. The pixel value correction/modification processing unit includes a contrast correcting unit which executes contrast correction based on information representing a brightness value corresponding to the pixel value of the pixel, and an intermediate color removing unit which removes intermediate color in the digital image by replacing the pixel value of the pixel by pixel values of pixels around that pixel.

摘要: There is provided an image processing apparatus for applying an adjusting process to an image including multicolor image signals. An image area including a pixel to be processed is extracted, and one representative signal value is generated from signal values corresponding to a plurality of colors of pixels included in the image area (S2501). A feature amount associated with the image area is calculated based on the representative signal value (S2503, S2505, S2511), and a substitute candidate pixel common to the plurality of colors is selected from the image area based on the calculated feature amount (S2512). Signal values of the pixel to be processed are substituted by new pixel values, which are calculated from the signal values of the pixel to be processed and signal values of the substitute candidate pixel.

摘要: There is provided an image processing apparatus which enables high-speed processing with simplified multiplications and divisions even in the case of error diffusion comprised of a combination of processes of two or more colors. The image processing apparatus performs error diffusion on multivalued image data composed of a plurality of density components and outputs the result of the error diffusion. A plurality of error tables are stored in a storage device. One error table is selected from the plurality of error tables according to a density value of a first density component among the plurality of density components and a density value of at least one other density component when performing the error diffusion on the first density component. A CPU performs the error diffusion on the multivalued image data using the selected error table.

摘要: A joint type minnow having a body which is formed so as to imitate a bait fish and divided into a main body portion and a tail portion so that the main body portion and the tail portion are mutually swingably joined to each other through a latch structure, is further equipped with a structure for regulating the mutual swing motion between the main body portion and the tail portion. The structure regulates the swing motion of the tail portion at a casting time to reduce air resistance, thereby avoiding reduction in flight distance of the lure.

摘要: A plurality of scan electrodes and data electrodes, and a self-emission layer disposed between the two electrodes are provided, wherein a scan voltage is supplied sequentially to the scan electrodes, and data voltage that corresponds to the display signal data is supplied to the data electrodes. The emission layer of the portions at the intersection between the two electrodes defines pixels in two-dimensional arrangement. A single frame period is divided into a plurality of sub-fields, and the weight of emission luminance is set so that gradation is expressed by a combination of emission luminance in the sub-fields. The scan voltage has a waveform that corresponds to the weight in each sub-field, and the data electrodes are selectively put into on state by the data voltage in accordance with the display signal data. An emission luminance that corresponds to the weight is obtained with a voltage applied to the emission layer of each pixel between the scan electrodes and the data electrodes.

摘要: An object of this invention is to prevent an increase in energy applied to a heating element and prolong the service life of a printhead even when the temperature of the printing element having a negative temperature coefficient rises and the resistance of the heating element decreases upon controlling a switching element for controlling a current flowing through the heating element so as to make energy as constant as possible. For this purpose, a printhead having a plurality of heating elements connected to a common power supply comprises: a switching element which is series-connected to the heating element and controls driving of the heating element at a voltage applied to a control terminal; a constant voltage source using a common power supply as a reference; a wiring resistance generated at a connection wiring line serial-connected to the heating element; and a voltage control circuit which controls to make the potential difference between both ends of the wiring resistance equal to the voltage of the constant voltage source when driving the heating element. Then, a current flowing through the heating element is made constant without any influence of the temperature of the heating element.

摘要: A wavelength tunable light source includes an optical pulse generating section for generating an optical pulse; an amplitude control section for controlling the amplitude of the optical pulse generated by the optical pulse generating section by superimposing control light on the optical pulse to output a short optical pulse; and an optical frequency converting section for converting the frequency of the short optical pulse by launching the short optical pulse output from the amplitude control section into an optical nonlinear medium whose refractive index varies in response to the electric-field intensity of the incident light. The amplitude control section can be configured such that it carries out the time division multiplexing and outputs the short optical pulse, thereby constituting an optical pulse light source.
