Abstract:
A process for preparing an urethane compound for medical instruments, characterized by reacting a hydroxyl compound (A) with an isocyanate compound (B) in the absence of a catalyst or in the presence of a reaction catalyst other than an organic tin compound to give an urethane compound (I). According to the process, the urethane compound showing high safety can be easily prepared, in particular, while molecular weight of the compound is controlled.
Abstract:
An IC socket of the present invention has a socket body on which a contact pin is provided. The contact pin has an elastically deformable spring portion between an upper end portion and a lower end portion. An elastic deformation portion having an engaging portion at its endmost portion. The socket body has an upper through hole into which the upper end portion of the contact pin is inserted, and a lower through hole into which the lower end portion of the contact pin is inserted. The contact pin can be installed into the socket body by inserting the lower end portion thereof via the upper through hole into the lower through hole, then inserting the upper end portion thereof into the upper through hole with the elastic deformation portion deformed, and then releasing the deformation of the elastic deformation portion at the time the insertion is completed, finally the engaging portion engaging with a lower surface portion of a peripheral portion of the upper through hole, to prevent the contact pin from being fallen out through the upper through hole.

The composition produces cured products which exhibit superior heat resistance, excellent mechanical strength, and superb adhesive characteristics, and is suitable for use as a photo-curable adhesive, a photo-curable sealing material, a resin for optical three-dimensional molding, and a coating material for optical fibers, and optical fiber ribbon matrix.
Abstract:
In a magnetic recording medium, surface roughness of a glass substrate and the variation of the surface roughness are suppressed. Namely, the surface roughness (Rmax, Ra, Rq) and the relation (Rmax/Ra) between Rmax and Ra are restricted. Ra is representative of a center-line mean roughness, Rmax is defined as a maximum height representative of a difference between a highest point and a lowest point and Rq is representative of a root mean square roughness. Thereby, crystal grains of an underlying layer and a magnetic layer formed thereon are equalized. The surface roughness is specified by Rmax≦15 nm, Ra≦1 nm and Rq≦1.5 nm and the ratio between the surface roughness Rmax and the surface roughness Ra is in the range of 10 to 30.
Abstract:
A developer-carrying member to be installed in an electrophotographic developing device for carrying and conveying a developer along a surface thereof, is formed of a substrate, and an intermediate electroless plating layer and an electroplating layer disposed in this order on the substrate. As a result of the electroless and electro double plating layer structure, the developer-carrying member is provided with a wear-resistant surface which has an appropriate degree of roughness suitable for conveying the developer thereon and is yet free from minute projections and cracks undesirable from the viewpoint of continuous image forming performances.
Abstract:
The parallelism of execution of processes in a memory shared multi-processor is enhanced. Each of a plurality of processors is provided with a run queue for holding executable processes, and a watch process for each processor to watch the execution status of its own to notify the rebuilding of the run queue to other processor and a rebuild step for rebuilding the run queue in response to the notice are stored in a shared memory as a program.
Abstract:
A power tool holding assembly includes a first direction guiding unit that has a piston-cylinder construction and a linear movement guiding unit that includes a ball spline and is connected via ball bearings to a piston rod of the piston-cylinder construction so as to be freely rotatable. A power tool is mounted onto one end of the spline shaft of the linear movement guiding unit. A space inside the cylinder of the piston-cylinder construction below the piston is connected via a hose coupling and hose to an air compressor that fills the space with compressed air. The air pressure of the compressed air fed into the space is regulated by a pressure regulating valve provided on the hose and so is maintained at a value that keeps the rod stationary.
Abstract:
An optical forming apparatus which can form a homogeneous three-dimensional object exhibiting desired properties over all parts, while effectively suppressing sedimentation of filler even though the filler is easily precipitated in a photo-curable resin composition. The optical forming apparatus can produce a three-dimensional object consisting of laminated layers of cured resin produced by repetition of forming cured resin layers by selectively irradiating a photo-curable liquid resin composition placed in a container (20), wherein the apparatus is characterized by having a means (60) for circulating the photo-curable liquid resin composition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a plant growth regulator comprising as an active ingredient an epoxycyclohexane derivative represented by general formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 cycloalkyl group, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are independently C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl groups or are combined to form a C.sub.2 -C.sub.3 polymethylene group which may be substituted with a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group, as well as to a plant growth regulator comprising the epoxycyclohexane derivative and a brassinosteroid as active ingredients. The epoxycyclohexane derivatives exhibit a potent plant growth regulating action which is equivalent to or higher than that of abscisic acid, and are useful as plant growth regulators such as a plant growth accelerator, a germination growth accelerator, a transpiration and wilting inhibitor, a cold resistance enhancer, an accelerator for growing, thickening or maturing fruits, roots, stems or bulbs, etc. A synergistic effect is achieved by combination of the epoxycyclohexane derivative with a brassinosteroid.
