摘要： A tape joining device has a fixed bearing member 24 and a movable pressing member 46 arranged respectively at opposite sides of the portions of two tapes T to be joined, and a heater 88 for heating the pressing member 46. The pressing member 46 is attached to a movable body 44 for pressing the pressing member 46 against the bearing member 24 with the opposed tape portions positioned therebetween. The pressing member 46 is pivotally movable relative to the movable body 44 about an axis extending in parallel to the longitudinal direction of the tapes T.

摘要： A stop/drive mode selector for a tape recording/playback device is capable of feather-touch operation by the plunger of a low power microsolenoid operating through a system of levers and springs. A pinch roller is mounted to a rotatable pinch roller lever. A pivotable drive roller lever, biased by a drive spring, is connected to the pinch roller lever by an interlocking lever. When a locking lever is released by actuating the solenoid, the drive spring, through the drive lever and interlocking lever, rotates the pinch roller lever to bring the pinch roller into contact with the constantly rotating capstan, which thereby drives the tape. When the interlocking lever is rotated by a second stroke of the solenoid plunger, a cam mechanism on the interlocking lever rotates the pinch roller lever to move the pinch roller away from the capstan, stopping the tape and allowing the drive spring to further rotate the drive lever. An eccentric gear on the drive lever then meshes with a drive gear on the capstan to return the drive lever and, through the interlocking lever, the pinch roller lever back to the tape stop mode in which the pinch roller is held out of contact with the capstan.

摘要： In a fulcrum bearing device for a pulley arm, a sleeve is inserted in a shaft hole formed in a boss portion of a pulley arm, washers are fitted on the outer peripheries of small diameter tube portions formed at the respective end portions of the sleeve, and the sleeve is fixed to an engine block by means of a bolt inserted through the sleeve and tightened, so that the pulley arm is pivotally supported. The shaft hole is formed at its respective end portions with seal receiving recesses having large diameters. Each seal member includes a cylindrical portion provided on its outer peripheral portion and press-fitted in the seal receiving recess, and a radial lip extending obliquely inwardly and provided on the inner periphery of the seal member. The distal end portions of the radial lips are kept in elastic contact with the outer diameter surface of the sleeve.
