    摘要: A method for producing a foam glass tile having a surface skin comprises the steps of molding a material consisting essentially of a vitrifiable mineral and a foaming agent into a tile-like block; coating the block with a thin layer comprising a vitrifying agent for the mineral material; heating the coated block to a temperature sufficient to fuse the coated layer whereby the molten vitrifying agent permeates into the coated surface of the block; and further heating the coated block to a temperature sufficient to soften the vitrifiable mineral. The method may further include the step of forming a thin layer comprising a vitrifiable mineral and a lesser amount of a foaming agent between the tile-like block and the vitrifying agent layer, followed by firing. The foam glass tile formed by the above method comprises a foam glass tile body and a rigid reinforcing vitrified surface skin, the surface skin being integrally melt-bonded onto at least a top surface of the foam glass body. Such foam glass tiles have a closed cell structure and are thermally insulating.

The rotary valve can be readily produced by a method which comprises impregnating a machinable ceramic article containing substantially continuous micropores with a liquid resin material and hardening the resin material; machine-processing the resulting machinable ceramic-resin composite article into a shape of the valve body or shapes of the valve body and casing; and assembling the valve body into a rotary valve having the valve body 2 of the composite material rotatably contained in the casing 1 of the composite material or a metal material.

    摘要: A roller tunnel kiln includes a lower kiln body half composed integrally of a kiln bottom and a pair of transversely spaced lower kiln side wall halves which are made of refractory brick, a pair of endless chains disposed respectively on transversely opposite sides of the lower kiln body half outside thereof, the endless chains being movable forward along the lower kiln side wall halves at a height substantially equal to upper ends of the lower kiln side wall halves and movable backward along the lower kiln side wall halves at a height lower than the kiln bottom, a drive device for driving the endless chains in synchronism with each other, couplings mounted at regular intervals on link plates or link pins of each of the endless chains, feed members having opposite ends gripped by respective couplings and movable in a longitudinal direction of the lower kiln body half directly thereabove in response to the endless chains being synchronously driven, the feed members being made of a heat-resistant material and having a length larger than the width of the lower kiln body half, and a suspended upper kiln body half composed integrally of a kiln ceiling and a pair of transversely spaced upper kiln side wall halves which are made of refractory brick, the upper kiln body half being disposed with a clearance wide enough to allow the feed members to be moved therethrough being defined between lower end surfaces of the upper kiln side wall halves and upper end surfaces of the lower kiln side wall halves.

A branch pipe 11 is branched from more upstream side than the cleaning control valve V1 of the water-supply pipe 10, and is connected to the ejector 20 through a U-shaped pipe 12 and an ejector water-supply valve V2. A discharge outlet of water of the ejector 20 is connected to a second water-discharge channel 7 through a pipe work 13. One end of a negative pressure transmission channel 21 is connected to an air suction inlet 20a provided at a throat portion of the ejector 20. The other end of the negative pressure transmission channel 21 is connected to an upper end 5a of a rising portion of a first water-discharge channel 5.
