    摘要: A bending apparatus for corrugating a sheet-like material can comprise a support member, a feed mechanism, a bending member, a hold-down member, and a driving mechanism. The support member can comprise a support surface with corrugations. The feed mechanism can be configured to feed the support member in increments of one pitch of the support member corrugations. The bending member can be configured to reciprocate between a retracted position and an actuated position mating with a corrugation on the support surface so material laying on the support surface is bent along the support member corrugation. The hold-down member can be configured to be reciprocated between a retracted position and an actuated position holding the material against the support surface. The drive mechanism can be configured to sequentially reciprocate the bending member and the hold-down member so the hold-down member presses down the material and the bending member bends the material.

In each one of the two panels, the plaster sheet (2,5) is fractured radially and the layer of cardboard (3) on the outside of the curvature is stretched and the layer (4) on the inside is compressed. The bonding of the layer of cardboard (3) of the first panel (A) to the layer of cardboard (4) of the second panel (B) forces the two panels to a permanent, stable, equilibrium of the respective opposite curving tensions.

    摘要: An embossed pottery bowl, and an apparatus and method for embossing a design on a pottery bowl. A press block and die block are each secured to output ends of a pair of actuator arms and positioned on opposite sides of a sidewall of the pottery bowl with a recessed die cavity of the die block facing in the direction of the press block. The press and die blocks are urged toward each other, preferably by a pneumatically controlled arm, so as to plastically displace a portion of the sidewall into the recessed die cavity. The plastic displacement producing an embossed portion of the sidewall having a recessed surface and an opposite bas-relieved surface, with at least one the recessed and bas-relieved surface molded into the shape of the design.
