The device (12) has two mutually opposite long side walls (21, 22) and two mutually opposite short side walls (23, 24). The short side walls (23, 24) connect each the two long side walls (21, 22) to one another. A plurality of guide blades (25), which project in the direction of the other long side wall (21, 22) and are set at an angle in relation to the axial direction (20), are arranged at at least one axial end (26, 27) at at least one long side wall (21, 22). Additional guide blades (29) are arranged at at least one long side wall (21, 22) at a distance (s) in the axial direction (20) from an axial end (26).

The first group of deflectors may be disposed within the housing and may be arranged relative to each other to direct fluid flowing through the first group of deflectors into a first pair of vortices that rotate in opposite directions relative to each other. The second group of deflectors may be disposed within the housing and may be arranged relative to each other to direct fluid flowing through the second group of deflectors into a second pair of vortices that rotate in opposite directions relative to each other. The first and second groups of deflectors may be rotationally symmetric with each other about a longitudinal axis of the housing.

    摘要: A static mixing device for use within an open channel includes a mixing section with at least one set of stationary mixing vanes and at least one conical section. In one example, the at least one conical section is an inlet section positioned upstream of the mixing section, while in another embodiment the at least one conical section includes both an inlet section positioned upstream and an outlet section positioned downstream of the mixing section. A plurality of vanes are also supported within the mixing section to promote fluid mixing. When used in an open channel, the static mixer having at least one conical section has a lower head loss in a shorter distance downstream from the mixing device than other conventional static mixers. In addition, the mixer is self-contained and is easy to mount, lightweight, and less expensive to manufacture and maintain than conventional open channel mixers.

    摘要: A mixing baffle for mixing a fluid flow in a static mixer includes a mixing element support structure extending along a longitudinal direction and a first set of moveable mixing elements coupled to the mixing element support structure. The first set of moveable mixing elements is formed in a first configuration and moves to a second configuration when the mixing baffle is inserted into a tubular conduit. In the second configuration, the first set of moveable mixing elements is optimized for mixing fluids and defines a plurality of undercuts that are difficult to mold. The mixing baffle may also include a second set of stationary mixing elements that interlace with the first set of moveable mixing elements when the first set of moveable mixing elements moves to the second configuration.

The static mixer comprises a plurality of mixing chambers whose cross-sectional size expand considerably relative to an inlet, a series of bent and curved baffle plates which divert, rotate, divide, reverse and otherwise create turbulence in the combined flow, and inlet chamber in which the added input fluid is dispensed upstream into the carrier fluid, and a number of other structural mixing elements which, through turbulence, abrupt pressure drops and velocity changes, subdivide the added input mixture into very small volumetric quantities evenly dispersed within the carrier fluid to create a homogeneous output fluid mixture.
