    摘要: An eddy-current-minimizing flow plug has an outer radial wall with open flow channels formed between the plug's inlet and outlet. The plug has a central region coupled to the inner surface of the outer radial wall. Each open flow channel includes (i) a first portion originating at the inlet and converging to a location in the plug where convergence is contributed to by changes in thickness of the outer radial wall and divergence of the central region, and (ii) a second portion originating in the plug and diverging to the outlet where divergence is contributed to by changes in thickness of the outer radial wall and convergence of the central region. For at least a portion of the open flow channels, a central axis passing through the first and second portions is non-parallel with respect to the given direction of the flow.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method and devices for mixing at least two individual streams having different variables. In order to produce a low-loss, effective mixing within a short flow section, at least one eddy impulse is produced in the cross section of flow of at least one individual stream, which impulse spreads out downstream transverse to the direction of flow to form a discrete eddy system whose components transverse to the main direction of flow overlap into the other flow cross section of the other individual stream. This eddy impulse can be produced either by at least one curved surface or by at least one edge of a surface or of a body. The eddy impulse is preferably produced by two burble (flow break-away) edges of a delta-shaped insert element which extend at an acute angle to each other.

    摘要: A device for stirring up gas flowing through a duct (2) accommodating one or more flat insertion structures (1) positioned at an acute angle to the main gas stream. Each structure constitutes an eddy-generating surface with a freely washed forward edge directed toward the oncoming gas and facing partly along and partly across the flowing gas. Each structure can be contoured in cross-section. The object is to decrease the weight of the structures. Each structure is accordingly basically a trapezium with two parallel edges of different length, the shorter edge of the installed structure facing upstream and the longer edge provided with an aerodynamic sweep and facing downstream. The structure is also accordingly folded along three straight lines (3) to form an .omega. or w in cross-section, with two convex folds (5) flanking a single concave fold (4).

To create adequate through-mixing at low flow velocity and a through-flow resistance that is not too high at high flow velocity, the guide vanes are produced of a shape memory alloy wherein below a predetermined limit temperature the guide vanes have at least one low-temperature shape and above the limit temperature the guide vanes have at least one high-temperature shape, which differs from the low-temperature shape through a reduced through-flow resistance of the mixer.
