The container sterilization method and washing method of the present invention is a method in which a container is sterilized/washed using a treatment fluid, and the sterilization step and/or washing step are divided into at least two parts. By storing and pumping upwards the treatment fluid supplied from one part of the divided sterilization or washing step after use, the treatment fluid can be supplied in series to the other part of the same divided sterilization or washing step.

Treatment is achieved with dosed amounts of fresh water retrieved from a fresh water tank (7), by successive cycles of washing, rinsing, and sterilizing. The treatment cycles use additives and high-speed jets of heated liquid and of steam, which are filtered for repeated use. At the end of the treatment, liquids are purged to a wastewater tank (33). Self-treatment of the appliance is provided by use of the same treatment cycles. The appliance is independent of external water supply, portable and automatic for use in situ, where electricity supply is available.

    摘要: An automated acid etching machine for glass and ceramic items includes a plurality of horizontal arms rotatable about a central hub, a vertically translatable arm attached to each of the horizontal arms, a carrier head attached to each of the vertically translatable arms, and item gripping means located on the carrier head. Treatment stations are circumferentially located about the hub. After the items are secured by a gripper, the horizontal arm indexes to the first treatment station, and the vertically translatable arm inserts and then retracts the items into the treatment station. The items are indexed among the plurality of stations until the etching process is complete. The stations have slotted roofs allowing the carrier heads to index from station to station without completely exiting the structure. Items secured to each of the carrier heads are treated in the various different treatment stations simultaneously.

    摘要: A high-speed bottle washing machine provides concurrent rotational motion to a workpiece as it is conveyed through a washing treatment zone for internal and external spray treatments. The machine comprises a plurality of moving bottle receiving stations for sequentially receiving and rotating inverted bottles received from a bottle infeed conveyor, a plurality of reciprocating spray nozzles, with at least one spray nozzle moving with each bottle receiving station, wherein each of the spray nozzles reciprocates from a first position below the inverted bottles, to a second position within the bottles, and a manifold assembly for sequentially supplying a caustic wash fluid under pressure to each of the plurality of spray nozzles to clean the bottles by impingement of the wash fluid in a predetermined pattern within the bottles as the bottles are rotated. The washed bottles are finally discharged at a bottle outfeed conveyor.

    摘要: A bottle washer removing bottles from a conveyor, rotating them about 360 degrees, and using paddles of extended length and a stationary guide to replace the bottles on the conveyor. The conveyor moves the bottles between paddles which will rotate them through a circle of 360 degrees. At the very end of that arc, an obstructing guide rail directs the bottles out of the rotational plane to avoid their colliding with the entering bottles. The bottle washer, to work at greater length upon the bottles may in fact move the bottles about two circles of approximately 360 degrees each. As the bottles complete the first rotation, an obstructing guide moves them out of the plain of the first rotation and into the plane of the plain of the second rotation. During the bottles' rotation the usual rotational valves and nozzles permit the desired operations of washing and cleaning.
