摘要: A reciprocating tool includes a motor, a reciprocating member, and a crank mechanism. The motor is disposed in a housing. The reciprocating member projects from the housing. The crank mechanism converts rotation of a rotation shaft of the motor into reciprocation of the reciprocating member. The crank mechanism rotates around an axis in a lateral direction by rotation transmission from the rotation shaft, and the crank mechanism includes a crank member having an eccentric pin, a connecting rod coupling the eccentric pin to the reciprocating member, and a balancer coupled to the eccentric pin, and the balancer is supported by the eccentric pin alone in the housing.

摘要: A cutter can move a movable knife by two cutter drive gears without the movable knife becoming skewed. The cutter 10 of a mobile printer 1 has a fixed knife 11, and a cutter drive mechanism 32 that moves the movable knife 31 straight to and away from the fixed knife 11. The cutter drive mechanism 32 has two cutter drive gears 51 that are driven synchronously, and a cutter drive plate 54 disposed between the two cutter drive gears 51 and the movable knife 31. The two cutter drive gears 51 cause the cutter drive plate 54 to move to and away from the movable knife 31 on a longitudinal axis Y (direction of travel), thereby moving the movable knife 31 to and away from the cutter drive plate 54. If the cutter drive plate 54 becomes skewed when the two cutter drive gears 51 move the cutter drive plate 54, the guide mechanism 81 prevents skewing of the movable knife 31.

摘要: A portable crafting tool, which may be readily transported from one location to another and placed on a tabletop or another suitable surface for use, and which includes rollers for applying pressure to a craft assembly, is disclosed. The craft assembly may include a platform with a tool, such as a cutting die, an embossing tool and/or a letterpress tool, a sheet of a medium (e.g., paper, vellum, acetate, foil, etc.) that is to be modified (as pressure is applied to the craft assembly) and a mat or a cover for positioning over the sheet of medium and the tool. The portable crafting tool may include a gap spacer, which adjusts a distance that the rollers are spaced apart from one another. The portable crafting tool may be configured for selective operation with a manually operated handle or with a motor that may be used in place of the handle. The portable crafting tool may be configured to engage a surface when it is deployed on the surface.
