摘要: A method and apparatus for adjusting the location of suspension for a tailgate is disclosed. The method may include selecting a vehicle comprising first and second sides, a tailgate, and at least one tailgate support. The tailgate may be connected to pivot with respect to the first and second sides through a range of motion. The at least one tailgate support may have a base and an array pivotably connected to the base. The base may engage the tailgate. The array may engage the first side and comprise first and second engagement mechanisms. The method may further include disengaging the first engagement mechanism from the first side, pivoting the array with respect to the base, and effecting an engagement between the second engagement mechanism and the first side. By switching from the first engagement mechanism to the second engagement mechanism, the location of suspension for the tailgate may be adjusted.

摘要: A buffering structure for the side gates of a cargo box of a truck is disclosed. The buffering structure includes front and rear side gates pivotally mounted on each side of the cargo box, and a middle column interposed between the front side gate and the rear side gate. Buffer members are interposed between the middle column and the front and rear side gates to resiliently support the front and rear side gates. Since the buffer member for resiliently supporting the front and rear side gates is installed on the middle column of the cargo box, deformation of the side gates is prevented and thus the lifespan of the cargo box is extended. Also, the generation of vibration and noise by friction comfort is reduced to improve driving comfort, as well as the smooth opening and closing of the side gates.

The striker member (38) engages the bracket member (36) and prevents the tailgate assembly (12) from moving in a lateral direction on the vehicle (10) when the tailgate assembly (12) is moved to an open position and a closed position. The bracket member (36) includes a first pair of tabs (50) and a second pair of tabs (52). The first pair of tabs (50) extends from the second pair of tabs (52) by a predetermined angle. The first pair of tabs (50) defines a first slot (60), and the second pair of tabs (52) defines a second slot (62). The striker member (38) pivots between the first slot (60) and the second slot (62), with the tailgate assembly (12) moving between open and closed positions.

摘要: A pickup-style work vehicle comprises a front driver's seat, a backseat, a loading floor that is located rearwardly of the backseat and that can be moved to a dumping position, a loading floor size changeover mechanism, and a backseat posture change mechanism. The loading floor size changeover mechanism changes the size of the loading floor between a first state in which a front wall portion and a front bottom portion of the loading floor are moved forwardly in a fore-and-aft direction and a second state in which the front wall portion and the front bottom portion of the loading floor are moved rearwardly in a fore-and-aft direction. The backseat posture change mechanism changes a posture of the backseat between a first posture which is a non-use state and a second posture which is a use state. The fore-and-aft dimension of the backseat in the first posture is less than a fore-and-aft dimension of the backseat in the second posture. the backseat in the first posture is located immediately forwardly of the loading floor in the first state and the backseat in the second posture is located immediately forwardly of the loading floor in the second state.

摘要: Disclosed is a latching assembly for use to lock the tailgate of a dump body of a truck. This assembly has a latch catch which is fixed to the tailgate and is devised in such a manner as to allow adjustment of the distance between its contact surface and the tailgate. The assembly has a pivotable hook with a projection positioned and shaped to abut against the contact surface of the latch catch. An actuator is provided to transmit pivotal movement to the hook via a set of links so as to turn this hook between a first position wherein the hook projection abuts against the contact surface of the latch catch, thereby preventing opening of the tailgate, and a second position wherein the hook projection is released from the latch catch, thereby enabling the tailgate to open.

摘要: A tailgate synchronizer for coordinating mechanical communication between first and second handles mounted to a tailgate and first and second lock assemblies that selectively lock the tailgate to a vehicle body includes a first lock assembly actuator lever rotatably mounted to the tailgate. The first lock assembly actuator lever is selectively movable by the first handle. The first lock assembly actuator lever is connected to the first lock assembly so that the first lock assembly actuator lever unlocks the first lock assembly when sufficiently moved by the first handle. A second lock assembly actuator lever is rotatably mounted to the tailgate and selectively movable by the second handle. The second lock assembly actuator lever is connected to the second lock assembly so that the second lock assembly actuator lever unlocks the second lock assembly when sufficiently moved by the second handle.
