    摘要： A fuel pump of returnless type fuel supply system for a vehicle includes a pump case, an impeller disposed in the pump case and a pump passage connected between the fuel inlet port and fuel discharge port. The pump passage is composed of a guiding passage section connected to the fuel inlet and pressure section connected between the guiding section and the fuel discharge port, and the guiding section has a first vapor discharge port disposed near the fuel inlet port and a second vapor discharge port disposed near the pressure passage section. Thus, fuel vapor is discharged from the first and second vapor discharge ports along with a small amount of the fuel returning to the fuel tank.

The pump casing rotatably supports an impeller and defines an elongated arcuate pump flow path along the outer periphery of the impeller and a suction inlet and a discharge outlet at both ends of the pump flow path. A plurality of gas venting holes are formed in a sliding surface of the pump cover along the pump flow path and communicate with the outside of the pump. Bubbles formed in the fuel in the pump flow path are positively discharged out of the pump casing assembly, and no vapor lock is caused.

    摘要： A unit for delivery of fuel from the fuel tank to the internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle includes a feed pump which is arranged in the fuel tank and constructed as a flow pump with substantially circular-cylindrical impeller driven in rotation in a correspondingly circular-cylindrical pump chamber. In at least one of the two chamber end walls, at least one approximately annular delivery duct which is groove-like in cross section extends from a suction opening which opens into the pump chamber to a pressure opening leading out of the latter. This end wall of the chamber is penetrated in the region of the pressure opening by a bore hole connecting the pump chamber with a region of the system in which low pressure prevails. Gas bubbles can be removed from the pump and accordingly from the delivery path in a particularly reliable and simple manner in that this bore hole is situated in a sealing surface which defines the delivery duct in the radial direction with reference to the axis of rotation of the impeller.

    摘要： A centrifugal pump having an impeller with a fingerlike projection on each blade extending radially outward from the impeller body into the outer annulus of the pumping chamber. These projections cut through the liquid that has been centrifuged to the outer annulus causing a turbulence which draws a portion of the liquid into the body of the impeller for mixing with trapped air. This mixing action causes the air to be centrifuged with the liquid and alleviates air locking in the pump and is especially valuable in a laundry washing machine where, in the last portion of the liquid extraction cycle, air and soap bubbles are likely to be included in the liquid.
