摘要： Documents are fed to a platen of a copier from two different feeding apparatus, one of which is a recirculating feeder adapted to sequentially feed a plurality of document sheets from one document to the platen for copying each sheet in a known manner. Typically the recirculating feeder is used in making most of the copies, and it may be used to keep the machine running substantially continuously. The platen also can receive one or more sheets of another document from a document positioner. For example, the positioner can feed a document sheet that is too large to be accommodated by the recirculating feeder, or it can feed a document sheet that may not be reliably handled by the recirculating feeder (such as a document sheet made by assembling copy onto a backing sheet), or the positioner can feed documents comprising a single sheet. Also, the positioner can be used for making document masters that are then copies using the recirculating feeder. A logic and control unit for the copier temporarily interrupts a job being run from the recirculating feeder when a second job is to be run from the document positioner. After the second job is complete, the logic and control unit restarts the job in the recirculating feeder.

摘要： A duplex copying system in which a roof mirror is alternately positioned for alternate document pages to function as a roof mirror and then as a flat mirror for simplex to duplex copying, and also can pivot between two exposure stations as a flat mirror for duplex to duplex copying. The roof mirror movement can be pivotably coordinated with the movement of a photoreceptor and a copy sheet feeder to provide, with a transfer roller, direct duplex electrostatographic copying. This roof mirror is the only moving mirror required in the system and has two relatively small degrees of rotation.

摘要： Disclosed are a duplex document copying system and a method thereof applied to a manual operation for a document. A scanning device is connected to a processing device. The processing device stores one or more block pixel thresholds. After the scanning device obtains first scanning data and second scanning data from scanning the document, the processing device compares pixel difference information between the first scanning data and the second scanning data with the one or more block pixel thresholds to calculate a similarity between the first scanning data and the second scanning data so as to avoid repeated scans. In this way, it avoids the manual errors and outputting the repeatedly scanned document, thereby improving overall work efficiency and saving resources.

The control unit controls the re-conveyance unit such that the re-conveyance unit stops a sheet in the second conveyance path temporarily and starts to convey the sheet at a first timing after a second timing and before a third timing, where the second timing is a timing such that if the sheet is started to convey to the first conveyance path at the second timing, the conveyance unit decelerates the conveyance speed when the sheet reaches to the detection unit, and the third timing is a timing such that if the sheet is started to convey to the first conveyance path at the third timing, the conveyance unit decelerates the conveyance speed when the sheet reaches to the skew correcting portion.
