Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for downloading ring tunes in order to customising mobile telephones which is characterised in that apart of the audio content, downloaded data comprise a graphical animation displayable on a mobile telephone screen when the audio content is played on the telephone during an incoming call reception, and, where appropriate also the audio content being simultaneously downloaded or being pre-downloaded and memorised by the operation layer of the mobile telephone.
Abstract:
A method for displaying an information is provided. The method is suitable for a portable device in a standby situation, wherein a display unit of the portable device displays a standby layout. In the present method, at least one event is generated, and then, the standby layout is changed to add a movable field in a visible region of the display unit, wherein the movable field displays the event.
Abstract:
A multi-party communication enhancer includes an audio data input adapted to receive voice data associated with a plurality of communication participants. A participant identifier included in the multi-party communication enhancer is adapted to distinguish the voice of a number of communication participants as represented within the received voice data. A cue generator, also included in the multi-party communication enhancer, is operable to generate a cue for each distinguished voice, with the generated cue being outputted in association with the corresponding distinguished voice.
Abstract:
Mechanisms for organizing messages across different message types. This may be accomplished by using a single integrated user interface in which messages across a variety of different message types are represented in a common way. For example, the user experience of placing a telephone call is standardized, regardless of the actual telephone technology (Cell Phone, VoIP, or POTS) used to conduct the telephone conversation. Also, addition to a general log that includes the overall list of messages, each message also has a separate, message-based log, thereby allowing for more flexible querying and organization of the messages regardless of the message type.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a solution where images are associated with missed calls and are presented within a missed called interface. The images can include images contained within a mobile device data store that is associated with the missed call number, such as images that often appear in a display of a mobile phone when a call attempt is made. The images can also include ones that are conveyed by the caller to the called device. A set of configurable interlace options can exist that permits a mobile phone user to establish how a missed call interface should behave when a locally stored image and a caller-provided image both exist and are associated with a missed call. In one implementation, the interface can be associated with voice mail messages, so that images are also associated and presented with received voice mail entries.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for selecting the content of Internet Call-Waiting messages. An Internet Call-Waiting message is generated when an incoming call is received while having an established connection to a data network. Content is retrieved to accompany the Internet Call-Waiting message. A customer-selected style and a customer-selected location of a control is retrieved that accompanies the Internet Call-Waiting message. The Internet Call-Waiting message is presented to alert of the incoming call.
Abstract:
Methods, devices, and computer program products modify an electronic text message with warped images. At least one emoticon is identified in an electronic text message. An image associated with a sender of the electronic text message is identified. The images warped based on the identified emoticon to provide a warped image. The warped images embedded in the electronic text message by replacing the at least one emoticon with the warped image.
Abstract:
A portable electronic device includes call circuitry operative to establish a call with another contact over a communication network, a contact list stored in memory of the electronic device, said contact list including contact information; and logic circuitry operative to capture at least a portion of new contact information during a call with the contact, wherein the new contact information can be obtained via the communication network. The logic circuit automatically enters the new contact information into the contact list during or after the call.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a system and method for providing a user interface for managing calls received at a mobile device is described. The user interface provides an incoming call screen to the user, where the incoming call screen comprises a caller identification data field for displaying data associated with incoming calls and at least one key label field in which labels for mobile device keys (e.g. send and end keys) are displayed. The area of the caller identification data field is substantially greater than the area of the at least one key label field, enabling more information pertaining to incoming calls to be displayed to the user. In at least one embodiment, this is facilitated by providing user-selectable options for responding to incoming calls in an options menu, which can be accessed by a user but is not initially displayed to the user when an incoming call is first received.
Abstract:
Picture messages are transmitted to a wireless device with a paging notification that includes the telephone number of a message originator and are used by the message recipient to identify who is sending the message.
