Abstract:
Apparatus and method for sharing state information using a web-enabled system and a phone service system are disclosed. In some embodiments, a presence module is used to identify a currently accessed web page to an agent during an on-line session. In some embodiments, documents are delivered to a user through a web browser concurrent with an audio message delivered by phone. Concurrent delivery of documents configured to accept an electronic signature is disclosed.
Abstract:
A method for speaker recognition comprising: obtaining speaker information for a target speaker; obtaining speech samples from telephone calls from an unknown speaker; classifying the speech samples according the unknown speaker thereby providing speaker-dependent classes of speech samples; extracting speaker information of each of the speaker-dependent classes of speech samples; combining the extracted speaker information; comparing the combined extracted speaker information with the stored speaker information for the target speaker to obtain a comparison result; and determining whether the unknown speaker is identical with the target speaker based on the comparison result.
Abstract:
A telephony communication system prevents an incoming telephony communication directed to a user from being completed if the user is not authorized to communicate with the calling party. Likewise, a telephony system prevents a user from completing an outgoing telephony communication directed to a called party if the user the user is not authorized to communicate with the called party. The telephony communication system also electronically monitors a telephony communication between first and second parties and censors portions of the telephony communication to terminates the telephony communication if predetermined keywords appear in the communication.

Abstract:
A method of authenticating an inbound caller in telephony applications. The method establishes a predetermined caller identification telephone number associated with a predetermined inbound caller identity from which inbound calls are permitted, retrieves a caller identification telephone number from an inbound caller, and then authenticates the inbound caller responsive to the caller identification telephone number matching the predetermined caller identification telephone number. A corresponding computer system and computer program product are also provided.
Abstract:
A voice-based telecommunications login system which includes a login process controller; a speech recognition module; a speaker verification module; a speech synthesis module; and a user database. Responsive to a user-provided first verbal answer to a first verbal question, the first verbal answer is converted to text and compared with data previously stored in the user database. The speech synthesis module provides a second question to the user, and responsive to a user-provided second verbal answer to the second question, the speaker verification module compares the second verbal answer with a voice print of the user previously stored in the user database and validates that the second verbal answer matches a voice print of the user previously stored in the user database. Also disclosed is a method of logging in to the telecommunications system and a computer program product for logging in to the telecommunications system.
Abstract:
A method of initiating outbound calls through a telephony interface. The method accepts an inbound call from a user, authenticates the inbound call against a predetermined user identity, accesses an address book associated with the user identity, receives an spoken request from the user, selects a telephone record in the address book associated with the spoken request, initiates an outbound call to the telephone record; and connects the inbound call with the outbound call responsive to a connection established on the outbound call. In an alternative embodiment the method accepts an inbound call, authenticates the inbound call against a predetermined user identity, receives a dual-tone frequency-modulated input representing a desired outbound call target, initiates an outbound call to the outbound call target, and connects the inbound call with the outbound call responsive to a connection established on the outbound call. A corresponding computer system for each embodiment is also provided.
Abstract:
A method for a predictive interactive voice recognition system includes receiving a voice call, associating said voice call with a behavioral pattern, and invoking a service context responsive to said behavioral pattern. The system provides advantages of improved voice recognition and more efficient use of the voice user interface to obtain services.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for retrieving information from a network such as the Internet. A user creates a user-defined record in a database that identifies an information source, such as a web site, containing information of interest to the user. This record identifies the location of the information source and also contains a recognition grammar based upon a speech command assigned by the user. Upon receiving the speech command from the user that is described within the recognition grammar, a network interface system accesses the information source and retrieves the information requested by the user.
