摘要： An absorbent pad for use in a garment is disclosed. The absorbent pad includes a liquid impermeable barrier layer and a functional layer disposed adjacent to the barrier layer, the functional layer having a liquid absorbent component. The absorbent pad also includes a first attaching element coupled to a periphery of the functional layer and a periphery of the barrier layer; and a second attaching element having a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion coupled to the first attaching element. The second portion of the second attaching element is arranged to be attached to a fabric body of the garment, thereby attaching the absorbent pad to the garment. The absorbent pad is washable and reusable.

摘要： Embodiments of the invention disclosed herein are directed to articles of clothing that allow for monitoring of different analytes (e.g., electrolytes and molecules) in human sweat during fitness activity, while training, or simply in everyday life. The clothing includes a sensor system completely integrated in textile such that every sensing part is made of textile fibers. The clothing is able to control, collect, analyze, and expel the sweat over time. The textile sensor allows a spontaneous absorption of body sweat directly from the skin, while it is produced, using the hydrophilic natural properties of the textile. Then, once adsorbed, the flux of sweat is controlled and guided through the textile using a gradient of the textile's hydrophilic properties. The sweat guided through the textile is analyzed through an electrochemical sensor woven into the textile. Finally, the sweat is collected in a reservoir and expelled for evaporation.

摘要： In some embodiments, a heavyweight jacket includes a main body configured to fit on the torso of a wearer and sleeves that are fully detached from the main body. The sleeves advantageously facilitate putting on the heavy jacket, while providing a jacket of high weight. To form the heavyweight jacket, a pre-bonded fabric may be used. The fabric is pre-bonded and may optionally be further layered to increase the garment's weight without sacrificing flexibility or breathability. The layered fabric distributes the garment's weight evenly and ensures that the garment does not excessively restrict a wearer's freedom of movement or cause the wearer to overheat. The weight of the fabric may be increased by using a heavyweight glue to bond various layers of material together.
