摘要: A distributed computer system for delivering a requested game experience at any venue of a plurality of distributed venues comprises: at each venue: a plurality of local units serving respective gameplay areas of the venue, each local unit coupled to a set of multimedia gaming equipment for delivering a game experience in its gameplay area, and a venue central unit configured to connect to each of the local units of that venue; a booking system for managing game bookings across the plurality of distributed venues, the booking system configured to receive, from a user device, a booking request denoting a requested venue of the plurality of distributed venues, and create a booking in response; and a master central server configured to connect to the session management system and the venue central unit of each venue; wherein the master central server is configured to generate a game session based on the booking, and automatically communicate the game session to the venue central unit of the requested venue, wherein the venue central unit receiving the game session is configured render accessible, to the local unit serving one of the gameplay areas, game details of the game session, and wherein that local unit is configured to deliver the requested game experience within that gameplay area, using its set of multimedia gaming equipment, based on the game details of the game session.

摘要: Techniques are described for an intuitive and efficient GUI. In an example, a UI elements are presented on a GUI. Each one of the UI elements can corresponds to a set of computer applications or a set of computer files having attributes and each one of the UI elements can be selected to launch, as applicable, a computer application, a computer file, or a page about the computer application or computer file. A request to sort the UI elements can be received and can indicate at least one of the attributes as a sort factor. The UI elements are sorted accordingly and presented in an updated arrangement on the GUI. An attribute used in the sorting is presented within or in proximity to the UI elements, whereas another attribute not used in the sorting is not presented in the updated arrangement.

摘要: According to one aspect, a toy system is adapted for use in a multiplayer game, the toy system comprising a primary user device, a secondary user device, and one or more toys; wherein the primary and secondary user devices are operable in a common multiplayer game session; wherein the primary user device is configured to capture video images of a real-world scene including the one or more toys from a primary view point and to display the captured video images as a primary view of the real-world scene; wherein the secondary user device is configured to display a secondary view of a scene corresponding to the real-world scene as seen from a secondary view point; wherein the one or more toys comprise at least one user-manipulable object adapted to selectively be brought into a user-selected one of a plurality of predetermined states, at least a first one of the predetermined states having a first visual appearance; wherein the primary user device is configured to detect said first predetermined state in a primary view including the user-manipulable object, based on the first visual appearance; and wherein the secondary user device is configured to produce user-perceptible output, in response to the detected first predetermined state. Corresponding methods and computer systems for implementing the method are also provided.

摘要: A video game includes a single player mode where completion of storyline objectives advances the single player storyline. The video game also includes a multiplayer mode where a plurality of players can play on an instance of a multiplayer map. Storyline objectives from the single player mode are selected and made available for completion to players in the multiplayer mode, and the single player storylines can be advanced by players completing respective storyline objectives while playing in the multiplayer mode. Combinations of storyline objectives are selected from pending storyline objectives for players connecting to a multiplayer game for compatibility with multiplayer maps. Constraints can be used to determine compatibility.

摘要: Methods and systems for assigning a data center in a second geo location for migrating data in anticipation of receiving a request from a user account from the second geo location includes receiving an indication of a change in geo location of a user from a first geo location to the second geo location. Save data for the user is identified at the first geo location. The save data is analyzed to determine usage trend of the user for the plurality of games. A portion of the save data is identified, based on the usage trend, and transmitted to a second data center in the second geo location in anticipation of the user's likely access of the save data at the second geo location. The save data is made available to game logic of one or more games, when executed on a cloud gaming system, so as to provide current state of game play of the respective one or more games for rendering on a client device of the user used to access the game.

The online video game is asynchronous between the two players. The data is received by a tournament server hosting the tournament and separate from a game server providing game data to clients associated with the two players. An instruction for synchronous initiation of gameplay between the two players is generated. The instruction is transmitted to the clients associated with the two players, the instruction causing synchronous initiation of the asynchronous games for the two players.
