摘要: A method and apparatus for pre-starting a cloud application, a device, a storage medium, and a program product are provided. The method includes: installing a cloud application; in response to determining that the cloud application is provided with a pre-starting switch, pre-starting the cloud application, and rendering a running screen of the cloud application; and sending, in response to receiving a startup instruction of the cloud application sent by a user, the running screen to the user. This implementation provides more cloud application scenarios.

摘要: Data characterizing two players enrolled in a tournament of an online video game is received. Each player is executing a separate instance of the online video game. The online video game is asynchronous between the two players. The data is received by a tournament server hosting the tournament and separate from a game server providing game data to clients associated with the two players. An instruction for synchronous initiation of gameplay between the two players is generated. The instruction is transmitted to the clients associated with the two players, the instruction causing synchronous initiation of the asynchronous games for the two players. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

摘要: A video game includes a single player mode where completion of storyline objectives advances the single player storyline. The video game also includes a multiplayer mode where a plurality of players can play on an instance of a multiplayer map. Storyline objectives from the single player mode are selected and made available for completion to players in the multiplayer mode, and the single player storylines can be advanced by players completing respective storyline objectives while playing in the multiplayer mode. Combinations of storyline objectives are selected from pending storyline objectives for players connecting to a multiplayer game for compatibility with multiplayer maps. Constraints can be used to determine compatibility.

摘要: This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for providing network applications. For instance, system(s) may install a network application on a first virtual server. The system(s) may then receive first data representing events that occurred during a first launching of the network application on the first virtual server. Using the events, the system(s) may generate second data for optimizing a second launching of the network application on a second virtual server and store the second data in one or more databases. As such, after installing the network application on the second virtual server, the system(s) may provide the second virtual server with the second data so that the second virtual server may use the second data to optimize the second launching of the network application. In some examples, using the second data reduces the amount of time that it takes for the second virtual server to launch the network application.
