摘要: A method is provided for controlling arc welding including forward and reverse feeding periods alternately switched. By the method, a set of a short circuit period and an arc period is repeated, and the arc welding is controlled such that the reverse feeding period shifts to the forward feeding period when an arc occurs during the reverse feeding period, and that the forward feeding period shifts to the reverse feeding period when a short circuit occurs between the welding wire and the object during the forward feeding period. The reverse feeding period includes a reverse feeding deceleration period having a time length that is adjusted in accordance with the time length of the short circuit period.

摘要: The wire feeding device that feeds welding wire W from the wire source to the welding torch is disposed between the wire source and the welding torch and is configured to temporarily accommodate the welding wire W fed from the wire source and to feed the accommodated welding wire W to the welding torch. In the case where feeding of welding wire W is abnormally stopped, if the acceptance unit accepts instructions for increasing or decreasing, the wire feeding device controls the speed of feeding welding wire W fed by the first feeding part or the second feeding part so that a difference is generated in the feeding speed of the first feeding part and the second feeding part and the accommodated amount of welding wire W is in a range from the lower limit of normal to an upper limit of normal.

摘要: An arc welding device includes memory in which a combination of a short circuit frequency, a peak current, and a peak current period is stored and determinator that determines a peak current and a peak current period based on a set short circuit frequency and the combination stored in memory. A welding output part performs welding output based on the peak current and the peak current period determined by determinator.

摘要: A system and method to correct for height error during a robotic additive manufacturing process. One or both of an output current, output voltage, output power, output circuit impedance and a wire feed speed are sampled during an additive manufacturing process when creating a current layer. A plurality of instantaneous contact tip-to-work distances (CTWD's) are determined based on at least one or both of the output current, output voltage, output power, output circuit impedance and the wire feed speed. An average CTWD is determined based on the plurality of instantaneous CTWD's. A correction factor is generated, based on at least the average CTWD, which is used to compensate for any error in height of the current layer.

摘要: A wire feeder has a motor, mounting plate, intermediate mounting plate, and base assembly. The mounting plate has a plurality of mounting hole patterns and a shaft hole. The motor a mounting hole pattern that aligns with at least one of the plurality. One of a plurality of motor types can be mounted to the mounting plate. The mounting plate is mounted to the intermediate mounting plate, which is mounted to the base assembly. The base assembly includes a drive gear, which is connected to rotate with an insulating cap that receives a gear hub. The gear hub is connected to rotate with the motor shaft via matching keys. The insulating hub, intermediate mounting plate and mounting plate are electrically insulating, so that the base assembly is electrically isolated from the motor.

摘要: In certain embodiments, inductive heating is added to a metal working process, such as a welding process, by an induction heating head. The induction heating head may be adapted specifically for this purpose, and may include one or more coils to direct and place the inductive energy, protective structures, and so forth. Productivity of a welding process may be improved by the application of heat from the induction heating head. The heating is in addition to heat from a welding arc, and may facilitate application of welding wire electrode materials into narrow grooves and gaps, as well as make the processes more amenable to the use of certain compositions of welding wire, shielding gasses, flux materials, and so forth. In addition, distortion and stresses are reduced by the application of the induction heating energy in addition to the welding arc source.
