Abstract: The decontamination device includes a protective enclosure defining an inner space containing at least a portion of a decontamination member and a holder for the hollow object at least in a decontamination position. The enclosure defines an access passage to the inner space and at least one wall for closing the access passage, the closure wall and the access passage being movable the one relative to the other between an open configuration of the access passage which the closure wall is able to occupy in a rest position of the decontamination member and a closed configuration of the access passage which the closure wall occupies in the decontamination position of the decontamination member.

Abstract: A surface decontamination device (1) for decontaminating outer packagings (2) which contain pre-sterilised consumer goods and have a circumferential collar (3) prior to transfer into an insulator includes a conveyor for conveying the outer packagings (2) in a conveying direction (F) along a conveying path from an inlet side to an outlet side of the device (1). The conveying path passes through a decontamination chamber (5) between the inlet side and outlet side. An irradiation source (6) is associated with the chamber (5) for irradiating the outer packagings (2) conveyed through the chamber (5). The conveying path passes through at least one lock chamber (8) arranged between the inlet side and outlet side, adjacent to the chamber (5) and having an inlet and an outlet, the inlet and outlet being able to be opened and closed by a closer. The conveyor includes a suspended transport unit (7) in the chamber (5) for suspended transport of the outer packagings (2) on the circumferential collar (3) thereof, wherein a lifting unit (11, 15) for automatic, vertical adjustment of the outer packagings (2) relative to the suspended transport unit (7) is arranged in the lock chamber (8, 14).

Abstract: An on-body injector system includes a drug container assembly including a container, a seal member, and a sealing interface between the seal member and the container. The container includes an opening and the seal member at least partially covers the opening in the container. A fluid pathway assembly is coupled to the drug container assembly and includes a needle that is movable between a storage position, in which a point of the needle is spaced from the seal member, and a delivery position, in which the point of the needle is disposed at least partially through the seal member. A radiation generator is configured to emit rays of radiation to sterilize and/or disinfect the sealing interface. A barrier is disposed adjacent to the sealing interface and has an opening. At least a portion of the drug container assembly is positioned adjacent to the opening in the barrier.

Abstract: Described herein is a method of forming individual tubes or sachets containing fluent material, and a packaging machine for doing so, are described. The side of the foil which will be in contact with the fluent material when the package is formed is exposed to plasma in mist or aerosol form as the tube or sachet is formed from a strip of laminate material (1), which is folded about a former (2) into a closed tube or sachet which passes over the open end of a dispensing tube (3) from which the fluent material is dispensed. A mist of plasma is injected into the interior of the material tube as it is formed, extracted from the area once it has passed over the interior walls of the laminate tube.

Abstract: A hazardous drug deactivation wipe kit includes a first pouch having a one-way valve coupled to an end thereof, a second pouch, and a third pouch. The first pouch contains a wipe saturated in a hypochlorite solution, the second pouch contains a wipe saturated in thiosulfate solution, and the third pouch contains a wipe saturated in isopropyl alcohol solution. The deactivation wipe kit may be used in a clean room to deactivate most hazardous drugs on a work surface.
