摘要: A barrier cable anchor rail assembly is disclosed. The assembly is adapted to be encapsulated in a concrete column and engage a plurality of cables to provide a barrier between successive columns of concrete. The assembly includes a first rail member and a plurality of threaded connectors. The threaded connectors are adapted to be engaged by a chuck that includes cable grippers adapted to engage one of the cables. The threaded connectors can be attached to the first rail member in the same orientation with a predetermined spacing between the central axis of the plurality of threaded connectors. The first rail member maintains the orientation and predetermined spacing of the threaded connectors and provides support to the concrete column in which it is encapsulated. A barrier cable assembly adapted to form a barrier between a first concrete column and a second concrete column is also disclosed.

摘要: An I-beam anchor for removably securing a fall protection member to an I-beam is disclosed. The I-beam anchor comprises a cross-beam, an anchor ring, and first and second brackets. The first bracket is positioned between a first end and center portion of the cross-beam and the second bracket positioned between a second end and center portion of the cross-beam. Each of the brackets comprises an inwardly directed flange spaced above the body of the brackets. At least the first bracket is a movable bracket and is movable along the cross-beam relative to the second bracket. The moveable bracket comprises a protected “quick release” mechanism that allows for the rapid engagement and disengagement of the anchor to the I-beam, in which the quick release mechanism is configured to minimize the chance of accidental or unintentional release.

摘要: Slidable barrier arrangements for a structure having a plurality of stories are described. A first retainer element can be operatively connected to the structure. The retainer element can span a plurality of stories of the structure. The retainer element can include a plurality of retainer segments, including an uppermost retainer segment and one or more lower retainer segments. The one or more lower retainer segments can include a lowermost retainer segment. A barrier and the first retainer element can be brought together such that a portion of the barrier is retainably engaged by the lower retainer segments of the first retainer element. The length of the barrier can substantially correspond to the length of the lower retainer segments. Thus, the uppermost retainer segment can extend vertically above an upper edge side of the barrier. The barrier can be selectively moved, such as by sliding, within the first retainer element.

摘要: The multilevel railcar safety catch system of the present disclosure comprises at least two multilevel railcars (or at least one multilevel railcar and a vehicle loading ramp), at least two bridge plates, and a safety catch assembly. In the preferred embodiment of the disclosure, two or more multilevel railcars are coupled together by a coupler. Two bridge plates are laid across the gap between corresponding multilevel railcar decks for the purpose of walking or moving vehicles across from one multilevel railcar to another. A safety catch assembly is removably attached underneath the bridge plates via a securement means on the safety catch assembly and barrel rings or bridge plate hinge pins in such a way as to prevent persons or items from falling through the gap between the multilevel railcar decks when loading or unloading vehicles.

摘要: A support apparatus for a construction safety net. A frame is configured with a length sufficient to span at least two floors of a building under construction, and a width defined by parallel vertical support posts. Pairs of mounting brackets are affixed at or near the edges of adjacent exposed floors of the building. Each mounting bracket has a channel portion extending beyond the edge of the respective floor and aligned with the channel portions of mounting brackets affixed on adjacent floors. The vertical support posts of the frame are movable through the vertical channels and can be lifted up into the next pair of channel portions as additional floors are built out. A locking mechanism is used to secure the vertical support posts to the brackets.
