    摘要: Method and device for safe switching of a signal between a first and second point. Device includes a first branch having a first switch and second switch arranged between the first and second point, and a parallel second branch having a third switch and fourth switch. A testing device instructs a control unit, in a test sequence, to open the first switch for a first period of time, open the second switch for a second period of time, open the third switch for a third period of time, and open the fourth switch for a fourth period of time. Neither the first nor second periods of time overlap with the third or fourth period of time. A testing unit tests functioning of the switches during respective period of time, and generates an error signal in the event of a malfunction of at least one switch.

The drive device controls an operation of the pressing unit using position control processing based on current information indicating the drive current and the movement quantity information. When the speed of the pressing unit is decelerated down to a predetermined lower limit speed, the drive device controls the speed of the pressing unit to be constant based on the current information, and when the current reaches a predetermined current value, determines that the pressing operation is performed.

    摘要: A motor controller is provided that executes a commutation routine in one of a plurality of operating modes to regulate current provided to drive coils in a linear motion system. The motor controller generated currents for each of the drive coils in a first operating mode to minimize the copper losses in the drive coils, in a second operating mode to maximize the force applied to the mover, in a third operating mode to provide balanced currents between the drive coils, and in a fourth operating mode to provide currents according to a selected operating point that combines characteristics of the first three operating points. The motor controller may also monitor each of the drive coils for saturation and redistribute at least a portion of the current required to control operation of the mover to the other drive coils when one of the drive coils is saturated.

The actuators are also configured to return the member from the second position to the first position during a retrace mode. The system also includes a controller configured to control the actuators. The controller is configured to identify a back electromotive force (BEMF) of each of the actuators during the retrace mode. The controller is also configured to responsively provide control signals to drive the actuators such that the forces provided by the actuators to the member during the actuation mode are substantially equal.

    摘要: A controlled motion system having a plurality of movers controlled as they travel along both smart and simple sections of a track. The controlled motion system comprises a control system for controlling the speed of a mover as it travels along a simple section, and permits the pitch or distance between movers to increase or decrease as they travel along a simple section. In a preferred embodiment the controlled motion system includes at least one coupling feature having a driving feature on a simple section for engaging and operably driving a driven feature on each mover such that positive control of each mover is maintained throughout its transition from a smart section to a simple section.
