    摘要： A replaceable filter cartridge assembly for a liquid filter and a liquid filter in which such a filter cartridge is installed. The filter cartridge 10 is provided with a support element 15, and a seat 20 for a sealing membrane 19 is provided on the support element 15. The sealing membrane seals the inlet 22 of the housing via a sealing edge 21 that acts as a return flow barrier over the inlet. The sealing membrane 19 also has a radial sealing surface 23 to provide a seal between the support element 15 and the outlet port 24 of the filter. This permits the filter cartridge to be manufactured in a particularly cost-effective manner and assures simple mounting within the housing. Since only the filter cartridge, which can be pushed onto the support element 15, needs to be exchanged, very little material has to be disposed of when the filter is replaced, which further increases the cost-effectiveness of the filter in use.

    摘要： The invention relates to a liquid filter, especially an oil filter, for cleaning lubricating oil, especially for internal combustion engines of automobiles, comprising an upright filter housing which contains a receiving area for a ring-shaped filter insert that is inserted into said receiving area, an inlet channel for unclean liquid, an outlet for clean liquid, and an additional discharge channel which is exposed when the ring-shaped filter insert is removed. An eccentrically projecting pin is moulded to a lower end plate and sealingly penetrates an opening of the discharge channel when the ring-shaped filter insert is introduced into the filter housing. According to the invention, a ramp is configured on the floor of the receiving area and is positioned in such a way that when the ring-shaped filter insert is introduced into the filter housing, the pin lies on said ramp and when the ring-shaped filter insert is rotated about its longitudinal axis, the pin slides downwards along the ramp and enters the opening of the discharge channel at the lower end of the ramp. This improves handling.

The centerpost assembly includes a main body having an oval shape in lateral cross section in unitary construction with a radial flange and interior shelf. The interior shelf defines a flow opening and a movable valve ball is positioned on the interior shelf and is able to move in the direction of the flow opening due to incoming fluid pressure. The fluid filter cartridge includes a closed endcap with a blocking pin such that when the fluid filter cartridge is installed, the blocking pin is positioned to prevent the valve ball from closing off the flow opening.

In two particular embodiments of the invention, the pleat height ratios of the major, intermediate and minor pleats are 3:2:1 and 4:3:2:1. In an filter element, the pleated septum may be held between an inner core and an outer guard. The tip of the major pleat in each pleating sequence may be in contact with the inner core of the filter element. The septum may also include drainage layers on upstream and downstream of the filter material layer.
