Abstract:
A plate-shaped filter insert for, in particular, a gas filter with a seal which projects outward on a first of two opposite plate surfaces should be simple and inexpensive to produce with good durability. For this purpose, such a filter insert has the following features: —the filter material (1) is designed as a web material folded in a zigzag shape, each of whose folds on the top side are sealed by a first sealant strip (2), —the first sealant strips (2) each project bent outward at one of the two opposite upper plate sides formed by the backs of the folds, —at the end folds lying in longitudinal direction of the web material, a second sealant strip (3) running transverse to this longitudinal direction is attached, —the second sealant strips (3) are each bonded tightly to the first sealant strips (2), —a circumferential sealant material (4) is applied to the first and second sealant strips (2, 3) bonded tightly to one another.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a fuel filter for an internal combustion engine, comprising a filter housing consisting especially of metal, and a filter element and a pressure-regulating valve located in said filter housing. The aim of the invention is to ensure that no noise originating from the pressure-regulating valve is emitted. To this end, the pressure-regulating valve is mounted in the filter housing in such a way that vibrations are dampened.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter, especially an oil filter, comprising a carrier casing which borders a clean room/chamber. The filter also has a filter element which encloses the carrier casing. The filter element is comprised of zigzag shaped folded strip material, whereby the end folds of the filter element are adjacently held together. In order to construct the filter in such a way that a mass-production with a high operational reliability is guaranteed, a clamping strip which fastens the end folds of the filter element is arranged on the exterior surface of the carrier casing.
Abstract:
For lubricating-oil filters for combustion engines, wherein the space available for the installation and removal of the filter cartridge is very confined, there are provided, instead of one filter cartridge, at least two filter cartridges which are axially arranged in series one behind the other. In order to allow these filter cartridges to be installed or removed without difficulties, there is proposed for the connection of these filter cartridges an articulated connecting means which ensures that the filter cartridges can be tilted relative to each other. A clip hinge or a wire or plastics-material strip, provided with clasps or detents, can be used as the connecting means.
Abstract:
A ring filter element comprising a plug for, in particular, a lubricating oil filter of an internal combustion engine. Said ring filter element is provided for insertion into a filter housing comprising a filter housing pot and a filter cover that can be axially detached. When inserted in the closed filter housing, the plug seals an opening which is provided in the filter housing pot and which extends in the same axial direction as the plug. The aim of the invention is to provide a ring filter element of the aforementioned type that can be packed in a space-saving manner. To this end, the ring filter element comprises the following characteristics: the plug is mounted on the ring filter element in such a manner that it can be displaced along to same axis or parallel to the axis, and; said mounting permits the plug to move with the aid of an actuating means which acts, by contact, upon the lug from outside the ring filter element.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a liquid filter, for example an oil filter for cleaning lubricating oil, especially for use in internal combustion engines of motor vehicles. A ring-shaped filter insert separates an unclean side from a clean side in the interior of the liquid filter. A metal filter housing comprises a first flange with which the liquid filter can be screwed to a component via a screw connection, said component having an inlet for uncleaned liquid, an outlet for cleaned liquid and a relatively pressureless idle duct. The first flange contains an axially acting outer seal that includes inlet, outlet and idle duct, and a carrier receiving compartment encircled by the outer seal. A functional carrier insert is inserted in the carrier receiving compartment and is provided with an inlet compartment open towards the inlet, an outlet compartment open towards the outlet, and a idle duct compartment open towards the idle duct, the individual compartments being sealed from one another by axially acting inner seals. The screw connection with which the first flange is screwed to the component acts in the axial direction and axially forces the axially acting seals against the component, while the functional carrier insert rests on the first flange.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a piston engine comprising an engine block that contains several cylinders. The inventive piston engine also comprises a fresh-gas supply device that is provided with several supply pipes (1) which are arranged on the cylinders and are fixed to the engine block. Said piston engine further comprises a fuel injection system that is provided with a high-pressure supply line (5) which is allocated to the cylinders. The aim of the invention is to fix the supply pipes (1) and the high-pressure supply line (5) to the engine block in a simpler manner. Holding-down clamps (7) for the supply pipes (1) are configured on the high-pressure supply line (5) in such a way that the high-pressure supply line (5) fixes the supply pipes (1) to the engine block.
Abstract:
A device for an arrangement inside a fuel tank, provided with pumps and filters for supplying and filtering fuel that is fed to an internal combustion engine, whereby the fuel is conveyed from the bottom area of the tank through a first filter into a collector chamber and fuel is conveyed from said collector chamber by means of a second pump through a second filter to the internal combustion chamber. Both pumps are arranged in a pump unit. The collector chamber is arranged vertically above the pump unit and the filter with respect to the fitting position of the device and is embodied as an open overflow container, whereby the inventive device can be produced in a rational manner and offers good functionality.
Abstract:
An oil filter for internal combustion engines is disclosed herein. The filter includes a housing with a bottom arranged below an open top and a screw-on cover threadedly engaged within the open top. The housing includes an inlet duct, a first oil discharge duct in the bottom of the housing, and a second oil discharge duct in the bottom of the housing and coaxially surrounding the first oil discharge duct. A support part is provided within the housing having a first end which is connected to the cover in an axially force-transmitting manner and a second free end inserted into the first oil discharge duct when the cover fully threadedly engaged to the open end of said housing to sealingly close the first discharge duct, and is withdrawn from the discharge duct when the cover is removed from the open end of the housing to enable discharging of oil from the housing via the first oil discharge duct. The support part supports a primary flow filter element in a lower portion of the housing and a secondary flow filter element in an upper portion of the housing and fluidly connects the primary flow filter to the second discharge duct and the secondary flow filter to the first discharge duct. The cover, the support part, the primary flow filter, and the secondary flow filter can be removed from the housing as a unit. The primary and secondary flow filters are separable from the support part for replacement.
Abstract:
A filter for liquids is disclosed herein. The filter includes a filter housing containing an exchangeable filter element. A support part is provided within the housing that is separable from the at least one filter element and extends at least partly centrally through the interior space of the filter element. A means is provided for releasably attaching one end of said support part to the filter housing. The housing includes first and second radial inner seals for separating a crude space surrounding an exterior of the filter element from a clean space located within interior of the filter element with the radial inner seals being mounted within the housing at the axial ends of the filter element. The filter element is folded star-shaped and sealed on the face side and provided on the inside at each of its two axial ends with a sleeve having an interior portion resting against the radial inner seals. The first radial seal includes an extension portion contained within a groove formed in the support part for separating the crude space from the clean space. An overflow valve is contained within the support part for establishing a flow connection between said crude space and said interior space when a pressure difference therebetween exceeds a predetermined value.
