摘要: A method of blasting hazardous substance or explosive in a pressure vessel is provided to improve efficiency while suppressing enlargement of the pressure vessel. To achieve it, the method includes an installing step of installing two or more articles to be treated at a certain spacing in the pressure vessel, an initial blasting step of blasting one of the articles to be treated, and a following blasting step of blasting the article to be treated next to the previously blasted article to be treated after a particular time from the instant of the previous blast. Each of the articles is blasted sequentially through the initial and following blasting steps.

摘要: An abrasive has a plate shape with a flat surface, in which a maximum diameter of the flat surface thereof is in the range of 0.05 mm to 10 mm, and 1.5 to 100 times as the maximum diameter as thick of the adhesive, and the blast processing method is one in which this abrasive is ejected by being inclined at an incident angle with respect to a surface of a product to be treated. The ejected plate-shaped abrasive slides along the surface of the product to be treated while having the flat surface in slidable contact with the surface of the product to be treated which is an object surface to be treated, so that the surface of the product to be treated is flattened by removing the peaks only, without increasing the depth of the valleys of the roughness curve.

摘要: A method and apparatus for removing soil from an inner surface of a lumen wall of a medical instrument are disclosed. A carrier gas entrains particles capable of sublimation at room temperature and transports the particles into and through the lumen. As the particles collide with the soil attached to the inner surface of the lumen wall, and as the particles sublime, the soil is removed from the inner surface of the lumen wall and transported out an exit of the lumen.

摘要: A process for selectively stripping a coating from a component of a turbomachine, and particularly a coating having a ceramic matrix that contains metallic particles dispersed therein that render the coating more difficult to remove from the component after the component has been subjected to elevated temperatures during operation of the turbomachine. The process generally includes immersing the component in an aqueous solution containing ferric chloride, nitric acid, and phosphoric acid, for a duration sufficient to attack the metallic particles in the coating. The component is then removed from the aqueous solution and its surface rinsed of the aqueous solution. The immersing and removing steps are then sequentially repeated a sufficient number of times to sufficiently attack the metallic particles to enable the coating to be mechanically removed from the component.
