    摘要: A gas spring comprises a cylindrical casing, in which a piston rod is guided for displacement concentric of a central longitudinal axis. A damping piston is mounted on the piston rod, dividing the interior of the casing into two sectional casing chambers. A filling of compressed gas is provided inside the casing. A damping device is provided for velocity-dependent damping of a motion of stroke of the damping piston and another damping device is provided for path-dependent damping of a motion of stroke of the damping piston. The result is a gas spring of excellently controllable stroke behaviour.

The partition member defines an orifice passage connecting the two chambers, and including a first partitioning wall portion partitioning the orifice passage from the pressure-receiving chamber, and a second partitioning wall portion of rubber partitioning the orifice passage from the equilibrium chamber. A partial reinforcing member is provided to the partition member extending across the first and second partitioning wall portions to reinforce an opening of the orifice passage to the pressure-receiving chamber.

    摘要: A plurality of die cylinders adapted to contain gas under pressure are mounted on a manifold. Each cylinder comprising a cylinder body having an axially inner cylinder portion and an axially outer cylinder portion. A piston has an axially inner end portion extending into the inner cylinder portion and an axially outer end portion surrounded by the outer cylinder portion. A seal is provided between the inner end portion of the piston and the inner cylinder portion. There is a removable sealing cartridge between the outer end portion of the piston and the outer cylinder portion. A snap ring removably retains the cartridge on a shoulder between the inner and outer cylinder portions. The piston is capable of full axially outward retraction and separation from the cylinder when the cartridge is removed. The cylinder is free of any obstruction which would interfere with the axially outward retraction and separation of the piston when the cartridge is removed. The cylinder body has a pilot portion engaging a complimentary cylindrical opening in the manifold so that the inner end of the cylinder body communicates with high pressure gas within the manifold.

    摘要: A gas spring shock absorber (10A) includes a damping fluid cylinder (14A) telescopically housed within an air cylinder (12A). A shaft (16A) connects a sealable, outer end (18A) of the air cylinder with a vented piston (32A) movably mounted within the damping fluid cylinder. A first fluid seal (60) extends from the gas cylinder and contacts the outer surface (38A) of the damping cylinder while a second fluid seal (34A) extends from the damping cylinder and contacts the inner surface (36A) of the gas cylinder. The fluid seals create a sealed variable-volume air chamber (40A) which is divided into air positive and air negative spring chambers (62,64). The air negative spring chamber is defined between the two fluid seals and automatically balances the force on the damping unit from the pressurized gas in the first air chamber portion. A bypass channel (66) is provided to permit fluid to bypass the second fluid seal and automatically equalize the pressure in the air positive and air negative spring chambers when the second fluid seal is aligned therewith.

A valve (12), which is actuated by air pressure, is disposed in the connecting line (6). The valve (12) includes a cylinder (14) having a chamber (16) wherein a hollow piston (18) is mounted so as to be axially movable. In an open position of the hollow piston (18), the valve (12) clears the connecting line (6); whereas, the connecting line (6) is blocked in a closed position of the hollow piston (18). The invention also relates to a valve which is actuated by air pressure.
