    摘要: Described herein is a transceiver circuit for a capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer (CMUT), provided with: a transmitter stage, which generates excitation pulses for a first node of the CMUT transducer during a transmitting phase, a second node of the CMUT transducer being coupled to a biasing voltage; a receiver stage that is selectively coupled to the first node during a receiving phase and has an amplification stage; a switching stage that couples the receiver stage to the first node during the receiving phase and decouples the receiver stage from the first node during the transmitting phase. The amplification stage is provided with a charge amplifier that has an input terminal and is biased as a function of a biasing voltage; and the switching stage is coupled to the same biasing voltage thereby minimizing an injection of charge into the input terminal upon switching from the transmitting phase to the receiving phase.

    摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for deterring wildlife, such as bats and birds, from drawing too proximate to an operating wind turbine. Wildlife species may be sensitive to transmitted frequencies, such as ultrasonic frequencies above the range of human hearing. For example, bats may avoid areas where ultrasonic frequencies are being emitted, either because the emitted ultrasonic frequency interferes with the echolocation of the bat, or because encountering the ultrasonic frequency is uncomfortable for the bat. In some aspects, acoustic transmitters may be arranged along a length of a blade of a wind turbine. A controller may direct the acoustical transmitters to transmit signals having ultrasonic frequencies to deter wildlife encounters. The controller may direct the transmitters to transmit only during periods where wildlife encounters are likely to occur (e.g. at night, during migration seasons, during favorable weather conditions, or the like).

    摘要: An acoustic projector is provided with an enclosure having a semi-permeable membrane on one side. High salinity liquid is injected at the enclosure to increase osmotic pressure. Valves thereafter allow free flooding between the enclosure and surrounding seawater to equalize the pressure. Transient pressure in the enclosure generates a pressure pulse that propagates from the semi-permeable membrane. The timing of the injection by salt jets and the free-flooding valves enables a repeatable acoustic pulse at low frequencies and a determinable upper frequency. If the acoustic projector is mounted to be conformal to the hull of a ship; the acoustic projector includes a free-flowing region on one side of a semi-permeable membrane and valves. When the valves are opened; the other side of the membrane is free-flooded. Salt jets inject high salinity liquid into an enclosure to increase pressure with the result of an acoustic pressure pulse.

    摘要: An ultrasonic transducer system includes at least one transducer element, a diaphragm, and at least one resonance body, the ultrasonic transducer system being configured for transmitting and/or receiving ultrasonic signals, the resonance body being coupled at an end face to the diaphragm and the at least one transducer element being coupled to a lateral surface of the resonance body so that the at least one transducer element and the resonance body have a shared interface. Also described is a method for the manufacture and to a motor vehicle having an ultrasonic transducer system of this type, the diaphragm of the ultrasonic transducer system being formed by an outer skin of a bumper, a side mirror, or a door section, and the transducer element(s) and resonance bodies being situated concealed behind the outer skin.
