    摘要: To determine a peak signal corresponding to a particular part of a sample, a data signal for a cluster can be transformed into a set of localized functions. For example, the data signal can be transformed to obtain coefficients of a set of wavelets, which can span a variety of scales that define an exponential decay of the wavelet. The coefficients in a time region for which a peak signal is to be obtained can be replaced with coefficients that model the behavior of tails of other peaks. The tail model can be determined using nonlinear regression, which may need to only be performed once. An inverse transform can then provide a background signal that can be subtracted from the input data signal to provide the desired peak signal.

    摘要: The present invention generally pertains to a system which utilizes floating thermal contact to enable PCR, in a thermal management device. Comprised of multiple thermal zones attached to a framework, each zone an individually actuated, isolated sub-assembly. The actuation of each zone ensures physical contact with an uneven, yet flat microfluidic chip to achieve effective, conductive heat transfer. The isolation of each zone serves to insulate the thermal zones from each other and minimize undesired heat transfer between adjacent zones, so that each zone is at a proper, uniform temperature.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for controlling presentation of sensitive information in a user interface of an application. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention provide for masking the sensitive information when being entered by the user. However, if the user wants to verify the entry or display the sensitive information in readable text, the information can be displayed or unmasked upon request. For example, in response to the user clicking a button or other control of the user interface associated with the sensitive information or by another mouse or keyboard event, the requested sensitive information can be unmasked and displayed in the clear, for example as a tool tip or in the originally presented element of the user interface. The user can then close the tooltip or mask the information, e.g., after verification of what he/she typed.

    摘要: A neurostimulation system having an external or an implantable pulse generator programmed to innervate a specific nerve or group of nerves in a patient through an electrode as a mode of treatment, having a patient remote that wirelessly communicates with the pulse generator to increase stimulation, decrease stimulation, and provide indications to a patient regarding the status of the neurostimulation system. The patient remote can allow for adjustment of stimulation power within a clinically effective range and for turning on and turning off the pulse generator. The patient remote and neurostimulation system can also store a stimulation level when the pulse generator is turned off and automatically restore the pulse generator to the stored stimulation level when the pulse generator is turned on.
