A method for desensitizing character strings comprises ordering an original set of character strings and generating a tree structure that has nodes corresponding to the ordered set of sensitive strings. The sensitive characters on the nodes of the tree are then desensitized in depth-first order such that a set of desensitized strings is generated that preserves the ordering of the original sensitive set.
Abstract:
Fixing devices including extended-life components and methods of fixing marking material to a substrate are provided. An exemplary embodiment of the fixing devices for fixing toner to a substrate in printing includes a first fixing member including a first surface; a thermal energy source for heating the first surface of the first fixing member to a fixing temperature; and a second fixing member including a second surface. The first surface and the second surface form a fixing nip configured to receive a substrate including a surface and marking material comprising toner disposed on the surface. The first fixing member and the second fixing member are operable to apply a pressure of at least about 300 psi to the substrate and toner and to heat the toner to a sufficiently-high temperature, at the fixing nip, to fix the toner to the substrate.

Disclosed herein are phosphor compositions which can exhibit a broad emission spectrum and improved color rendering index (CRI) relative to conventional phosphor materials. The phosphor compositions may, in some embodiments, be represented by the Formula I: (RE2−x+yCexAk1−y)(MG4−z−rSirMnz)(Si1−ePe)O12−rNr, wherein RE comprises at least one rare earth metal; Ak comprises at least one alkaline earth metal; MG comprises at least one main group element; x is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.2; y is less than 1; z is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.8; e is about 0 or less than or equal to 0.16; r is about 0 or less than or equal to 1; and z is about the sum of e and y. A self-collimator planar spectroscopy shaping device for chirped pulse amplification (CPA): uses a spectrum decomposing system with CTSI construction, a spectrum synthesizing system with CTSI structure that is symmetrical to the decomposing structure, and a spectrum shaping system including an aperture and a planar reflector for spectrum shaping function design. The device accomplishes the following functions: firstly decomposing the spectrum of a chirped temporal pulse laser to a spectral domain; then shaping the spectrum in the spectral domain; finally synthesizing un-shiftily this shaped spectrum in the spectral domain into a temporal chirped pulse with a designed shape. The device has features of small size of concave reflector, easy fabrication, compact construction, little laboratory space needed, and cheap in cost, which it can be different types of configuration for different circumstance application, which it can be not only utilized in a general laser spectrum shaping and spectrum modulation, but also can be utilized for a high energy and ultra-high peak-power laser system in chirped pulse amplification with a large caliber and with a chirped pulse bandwidth of a few nanometers.

A method, and system employing the method, for service channel reconfiguration at a service outlet includes generating service transaction data of a service outlet, generating queue management system (QMS) data of the service outlet, and generating cost and profit data for the service outlet. Data is extracted from the service transaction data and the QMS data relating to specified parameters including customer experience data, and customer demand data. The service transaction data and the QMS data is integrated with the cost and profit data providing a unified objective function. Stochastic service processes and customer behavior data are modeled. The unified objective function is evaluated using the stochastic service processes and customer behavior data model, and the service channel function of the service outlet is reconfigured using the unified objective function.

An exemplary apparatus useful in printing includes a first roll including a first shaft and a first surface; a second roll including an axially-extending inner portion including a second shaft; an axially-extending outer portion over the inner portion; at least a first annular gap and a second annular gap extending axially between the inner portion and the outer portion, the first annular gap being axially spaced from the second annular gap; and a second surface forming a nip with the first surface. The inner portion and the outer portion of the second roll bend in opposite directions when the first roll and the second roll are loaded by applying a first force to the first shaft in a first direction and applying a second force to the second shaft in a second direction opposite to the first direction.

A balancing procedure in the network is performed that includes redistributing flows on arcs incident on the second set of vertices. The balancing procedure includes selecting a batch of the vertices in the second set, and redistributing flows on arcs incident on the selected batch of vertices. The selecting and redistributing are repeated for other batches of vertices in the second set.
