    Abstract: Content receiver systems, methods, and machine-readable media to facilitate adaptive voice interaction are disclosed. An audio cue may be detected and mapped to a first viewer in proximity of an audio sensor. Sensor-based data that is based on the audio sensor capturing audio phenomena in the proximity may be received. A set of rules specified by an operations protocol may be accessed. The set of rules may include criteria for mapping a recognition of voice data to operations of a content receiver. The sensor-based data may correspond to a recognition of first voice data of the first viewer. A rule of the set of rules may be used to map the sensor-based data to an operation of the content receiver. Responsive to the audio cue, the content receiver may be caused to perform the operation.

    Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards the interpretation of driver behavior and communication with autonomous vehicles and incentivizing drivers based on the driver's behavior. A computing device that sits on the dashboard of a vehicle includes at least one camera and circuitry. The computing device captures first images of the driver in the vehicle and second images of an area outside the vehicle. The computing device identifies another vehicle based on an analysis of the second images. The computing device determines a driving behavior of the driver based on an analysis of the first images. The computing device determines if the driving behavior satisfies a positive incentive threshold or a negative incentive threshold. The computing device selects and provides a positive or negative incentive to the driver in response to the driving behavior satisfying the positive incentive threshold or the negative incentive threshold, respectively.

    Abstract: A computerized system for guaranteed advertisement impressions recognizes an identifier of a media content segment (e.g., an advertisement) to be played before playing of a recorded program as a result of selection of or initiation of playing a recorded program. In some embodiments, the system recognizes an identifier of a media content segment at or during initiation of playing the of the media content segment, or during playback of a media content stream including a recorded program. In in response to the recognition of the identifier, the system ignores (or disables the remote control sending), for a predetermined time period, all commands to skip or fast forward through all or part of the media content segment.

Guide arms may be adapted to receive one or more second portions of the power cord extending from the device and to guide the power cord during a power cord handling operation. The controller may be configured to cause the wheel assembly to perform a power cord handling operation.

    Abstract: Various arrangements for communicating with a device utilizing an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are presented. A backend system may detect a triggering event associated with a device based upon data received via a first connection. In response to detecting the first triggering event, the UAV may receive a first data set and a location associated with the device from the backend system. The UAV may deploy to the received location. A second connection between the UAV and the device can be established at the received location. The UAV may transmit the first data set to the device via the second connection at the received location.

    Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods are described for responding to inoperative commands on a server device. In some embodiments, the disclosed technology facilitates pausing of content being played on a device without creating a bookmark of the location in the content at which the content was paused. In response to receiving the request to pause the content from playing, the server device generates a pause instruction to pause the content from playing. Upon expiry of a timeout interval, the server device automatically transforms the pause instruction into a stop instruction, which when executed causes stopping the content from playing. In some embodiments, the server device detects an user interaction event, prior to expiry of the timeout interval. Non-limiting examples of the user interaction may be shutting down the server device, switching from the content to a live broadcast program, switching from the content to another content, or exiting from the content.

    Abstract: Various arrangements for performing dynamic content insertion are presented. Content items that have been output for presentation may be tracked across multiple television viewing sessions. One or more insertion rules may be evaluated that are mapped to a content item. The content item may be determined to have met an output rate threshold. An alternative piece of content may be selected for insertion based on the content item having met the output threshold rate. The television receiver may be triggered to substitute the alternative content item into a television channel stream to replace the content item.
