According to the present invention, the conductive organic/inorganic complex composition is hydrophobic and insoluble in water and an organic solvent, has a high mechanical strength, and is thermally and chemically stable. Further, a compositional composition of the conductive organic/inorganic complex composition can be changed over a wide range.

A plurality of metal nano patterns are provided on one surface of at least one of the first electrode and the second electrode. A method of preparing the electroluminescent device comprises providing a substrate, first and second electrodes, and an organic layer including a light-emitting layer, with a plurality of metal nano patterns being provided on at least one of the first and second electrodes. The electroluminescent device can achieve emission of polarized light, regardless of the materials used in forming the organic layer.

The fluorescence supporter receives energy from the host or traps energy directly, and then transfers the energy to the dopant or self-emits light. An emission spectrum of the fluorescence supporter and an absorption spectrum of the phosphorescence emission molecule overlap partly or completely. The organic electroluminescent device has improved luminous efficiency and color purity characteristics in comparison with a conventional organic electroluminescent device having an emission layer, which is composed of a phosphorescent dopant and a host. This system is useful in the manufacture of, in particular, blue emission devices.

The spiro-based compound containing cyclopentaphenanthrene and fluorene can be easily manufactured to have high solubility, high color purity, and good thermal stability. The spiro-based compound containing cyclopentaphenanthrene and fluorene is suitable as a substance for an organic film, in particular, an emission layer of an organoelectroluminescent device. Further, the spiro-based compound containing cyclopentaphenanthrene and fluorene can be used as an organic dye, or an electron material such as a non-linear optical material.

The aqueous dispersion contains an electrodeposition material including a fine particle coloring material, and a polymer which is chemically dissolved, or is deposited and precipitated, by a change in pH. The vessel can hold a liquid, and has therein an image supporting member. The image supporting member has at least an electrode, which can supply current or an electric field in accordance with an image pattern, and a surface which can support an image; and a counter electrode which forms a pair of electrodes together with the electrode. The electrodeposition material is deposited and precipitated to form an image by supplying current or an electric field in accordance with an image pattern to the image supporting member and the counter electrode and by changing the pH value of the aqueous dispersion in the vicinity of the image supporting surface of the image supporting member. The polymer in the electrodeposition material has both hydrophobic groups and hydrophilic groups in the molecule, the proportion of the number of the hydrophobic groups to the total number of hydrophilic groups and the hydrophobic groups in the polymer is in the range of from 40 to 80%, 50% or more of the hydrophilic groups can reversibly change from hydrophilic groups to hydrophobic groups due to a change in pH value, and the acid value of the polymer is on the range of from 30 to 400.
