Abstract:
Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to aspects of customer service based upon in-store field-of-view and analytics. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a store analytics system can collect user information associated with a plurality of users located within an environment. The store analytics system also can collect user device information associated with a plurality of user devices associated with the plurality of users. The store analytics system also can collect estimated fields-of-view associated with the plurality of users. The store analytics system can analyze the user information, the user device information, and the estimated fields-of-view to identify at least one commonality shared among at least two of the plurality of users. The store analytics system can create a logical group. The logical group can include the at least two users of the plurality of users that share the commonality.
Abstract:
An intelligent machine-to-machine (iM2M) device may collaborate with other devices to perform functions. An iM2M device may determine if it has the necessary resources to respond to a request. Upon determining that the resources needed to provide a response to the request are not available in the iM2M device, the iM2M device may negotiate with other devices in order to obtain a response to the request and/or resources to respond to the request. The other devices may send respective responses and/or resource back to the iM2M device. The iM2M device may, in turn, respond to the request.
Abstract:
In various aspects, a portable electronic device includes electrical components supported by a housing, the electrical components including a user interface coupled to a processor and a storage medium including an emergency power storage module coupled to the processor. The portable apparatus further includes one or more power storage devices configured to provide electrical energy to the electrical components, at least one power storage device operably controlled by the emergency power storage module to provide emergency electrical energy to the electronic components for an emergency communication.
Abstract:
Virtual media environments are provided. A first set of media components is received and modified to create a first virtual media instance. The first virtual media instance is provided to a user via at least one media output device. Media parameters corresponding to the user are updated based on the first virtual media instance. A second set of media components is also received. The second set is modified based on the updated media parameters to create a second virtual media instance.
Abstract:
The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting promotional content via an avatar representing a first, promoter user to a second, target user experiencing a virtual or other environment. The promotional content may be presented via an alteration of the avatar, audio output and/or an object virtually associated with the avatar. The promotional content may be selected based on matching target user data describing a target user experiencing a virtual reality environment. Different users viewing the same avatar at the same time can be presented with different promotional content. Information may be output to attract a target user to perceive the promotional content. The promoter user can interact to obtain a current promotion status notification, as well as to select from available promotional content offerings to promote.
Abstract:
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a media consumption database that stores data elements describing conditions under which electronic media content is consumed by a user on an electronic device. A search of the media consumption database based on at least a portion of the conditions may result in at least a portion of the electronic media content to be re-presented to an electronic device of the user Other embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract:
The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting an avatar in a virtual reality environment in different ways to different users, based on relationship data including a familiarity level and trust level with each other user. The familiarity level data and/or trust level data can be updated with each encounter with another user. The presentations of the same avatar can be different to the other users encountered at the same time, e.g., a lower resolution avatar presented to a less familiar and/or less trusted other user, a higher resolution avatar presented to a more familiar and/or more trusted other user. Audio volume and/or clarity may be similarly modified based on relationship data. A user having an encounter with another user may have a mirror view of the user's own avatar, and can improve or degrade the avatar's appearance (and/or aural output) during the encounter.
Abstract:
The disclosed technology relates to detection of attention exhibited by a second user to a first user's avatar in a virtual reality environment. A first user's avatar activity and the second user's activity are evaluated to determine the second user's (e.g., via another avatar) attention level directed towards first user's avatar. Information can be sent to notify the first user that the second user's attention level has satisfied attention-level criterion data. For example, if the second user is viewing and/or is within audio range of the first user for too long of a time or too frequently, then the first user can be notified and/or other action taken. Remedial action is available for negative attention, such blocking the second user from experiencing the first user in the environment. Detection of attention for positive purposes is available, such as to reward an influencer whose avatar is receiving significant attention from followers.
Abstract:
The disclosed technology is generally directed towards monitoring electronic communications to detect content in a communication that is attempting to influence the user in some way. A user can specify influential intent preference data, such as which electronic communications services/applications to monitor for such influential intent content, and the types of the influential intent to monitor for, e.g., political influence types, advertisement influence types, and so on. A user also can specify remedial or other actions to take upon detection, e.g., block such content, alert on detecting such content and so on. An electronic influence manager server and/or application program can perform the monitoring and/or take the actions. Also described is reporting on the communications with influential intent, user actions with respect thereto. Reputation data can also be collected and used with respect to sources of communications with influential intent.
Abstract:
The disclosed technology is directed towards virtual reality bookmarks that maintain state data for a user in a virtual reality environment, such that the user can to return to that virtual reality environment at a later time. While presenting virtual reality session content to a user, a system or the like can receive a request to pause the virtual reality session from a user. Session state data, e.g., in the form of a virtual reality bookmark, is saved based on the pause request. A later request to resume presentation of the virtual reality content results in the system accessing the virtual reality session data, which is used to present resumed virtual reality session content to the user based on the session state data. A pause request may be for an individual user or for each user participating in a session. Virtual reality bookmarks may be shared with other users.
