摘要: Methods, apparatus, and systems for reliable replication mechanisms based on active-passive HFI protocols build on top of non-reliable multicast fabric implementations. Under a first hardware-based scheme, a reliable replication mechanism is (primarily) implemented via Host Fabric Interfaces (HFIs) coupled to (or integrated in) nodes coupled to a non-reliable fabric. Under this approach, the HFIs take an active role in ensuring reliable delivery of multicast messages to each of multiple target nodes. Under a second hybrid software/hardware scheme, software running on nodes is responsible for determining whether target nodes have confirmed delivery of multicast messages and sending retry messages for cases in which delivery is not acknowledged within a timeout period. At the same time, the HFIs on the target nodes are responsible for generating reply messages containing acknowledgements rather than software running on the target nodes.

摘要: A server platform in a cloud computing system is determined to be in an unused state and a request from a remote computing system outside the data center system is received to control hardware of at least one of the server platforms of the cloud computing systems. A bare-metal-as-is (BMAI) session is initiated for the remote computing system to use the server platform based on the unused state, wherein exclusive control of at least a portion of hardware of the server platform is temporarily handed over to the remote computing system in the BMAI session. Control of the portion of the hardware of the server platform is reclaimed based on an end of the BMAI session.

摘要: Various approaches for deploying and controlling distributed compute operations with the use of infrastructure processing units (IPUs) and similar networked processing units are disclosed. For example, a payload may be received at a networking infrastructure device. Here, the payload is part of a workload that is routed through the networking infrastructure device from a first network node to a second network node. The networking infrastructure device may obtain a workload graph for the workload with vertices of the workload graph specifying functions. The networking infrastructure device may apply a function to the payload in accordance with the workload graph to transform the payload into a processed payload. The processed payload may be transmitted towards the second network node.

摘要: Various approaches for managing distributed compute operations for workload execution of concurrent tasks, including with the use of infrastructure processing units (IPUs) and similar networked processing units, are disclosed. An example method may include: identifying multiple tasks of a computing workload, for a workload that provides processing dependencies among the tasks, and that uses concurrent execution with one or more of the tasks; monitoring an execution time for each of the tasks, relative to an execution time threshold for each of the tasks; identifying the execution time of a particular task as exceeding an execution time threshold for the particular task; determining a remediation based on the particular task and the identified execution time, with the remediation including use of other compute resources in the distributed computing environment for the workload; and applying the remediation to increase speed of execution of the workload.

摘要: An apparatus for an S-BS includes processing circuitry configured to decode configuration signaling from a plurality of S-UEs. The configuration signaling indicates an interference level at each of the plurality of S-UEs from transmissions of an M-BS. An S-UE is selected based on a comparison of the interference level at each S-UE with an interference threshold of each S-UE. Control signaling is encoded for transmission to the selected S-UE via a small cell access (S-AC) communication link. The control signaling is transmitted during the reception of downlink data from the M-BS via a primary backhaul communication link.

A first service component may be determined that is being executed by the first edge computing platform.
