    摘要: An object is to eliminate fixed pattern noise due to unevenness or variation of the threshold voltages in DA converters and buffer circuits, when forming a pixel portion integrated with a peripheral driver circuit, including the DA converters, by using polycrystalline Si TFT. For that purpose, a pixel common electrodes is provided independently for each of a signal line, and an output of the buffer circuit is connected to both the common electrode and the signal electrode through a switch. With this, the variation of the threshold voltages in the buffer circuits are cancelled between the common electrode and the signal electrode, thereby enabling to remove the above-mentioned fixed pattern noise therefrom.

In the analog to digital conversion unit, analog to digital conversion is performed using the standard signal converted into this second physical quantity.

    摘要: The present invention allows an organic EL display device to perform display with high definition by reducing an area of each pixel forming a display region of the display device. A drive TFT for driving an organic EL element, a storage capacitance connected with a gate of the drive TFT, and a switching TFT connected to a scanning line are used in common by pixels arranged adjacent to each other in the lateral direction and hence, areas occupied by these circuit elements per one pixel can be reduced whereby the pixel can be made small. Further, a data line for supplying a video signal and a power source line for supplying an electric current to the organic EL elements can be used in common by the pixels arranged adjacent to each other and hence, the number of data lines and the number of power source lines can be halved thus reducing an area of the pixel. Due to such a constitution, the present invention acquires an organic EL display device capable of performing display with high definition.

    摘要: An image display is provided with a display area including pixels, each including illuminating means. A control circuit turns the illuminating means of the pixels on and off. A first terminal of a capacitor is connected to an input terminal of the control circuit. An image signal voltage generation circuit generates image signal voltages and a pixel drive voltage generation circuit generates pixel drive voltages for the pixels. A connector is provided for connecting either one of the image signal voltages or the pixel drive voltages to a second terminal of the capacitor. As such, an amount of drive current for the pixels is controlled in accordance with both the pixel drive voltage and the image signal voltage.
