摘要: A touch panel includes plural first electrodes extending in a first direction, plural second electrodes extending in a second direction different from the first direction, a driving circuit, a detection circuit, and a coordinate-position calculating circuit. The driving circuit sequentially selects two first electrodes out of the plural first electrodes, supplies a high potential voltage higher than a reference voltage to one of the selected two first electrodes, and supplies the reference voltage to the other, the detection circuit detects a capacitance difference (A-B) between a capacitor A between a selected one of the second electrodes and the first electrode to which the high potential voltage is supplied and a capacitor B between the selected second electrode and the first electrode to which the reference voltage is supplied, and the coordinate-position calculating circuit calculates a touch position on the touch panel touched by the observer on the basis of positions of the selected first and second electrodes and the capacitance difference (A-B).

摘要: Upon reading images of both sides of a document sheet, the color reproducibilities of identical background images read from the two faces of each document sheet over a large number of pages are adjusted. Hence, a first background color read by a first reader, and a second background color read by a second reader are respectively extracted, and color processing parameters of a first or second color processor are adjusted, so as to make the output from the first color processor for the first background color be approximately equal to the output from a second color processor for the second background color.

摘要: A plurality of horizontal display control lines CTL are arranged in parallel with signal lines D and connected to switching elements ctl of pixels. Among pixels whose switching elements sw become an On state owing to a selection voltage from a gate line G, switching elements ctl of pixels for which display signals are not rewritten are turned off not to apply a display signal to liquid crystal cells of those pixels. And pixels for which display signals are to be rewritten, the horizontal display control circuit 109 applies a rewrite selection signal to those pixels to turn on switching elements ctl of those pixels. Thus, applying display signals that are outputted from a signal circuit and correspond to those pixels having the switching elements ctl turned on to liquid crystal cells of those pixels, display signals are rewritten.
