    Abstract: A display device is provided and includes first light-transmitting substrate; second light-transmitting substrate opposed to the first light-transmitting substrate; liquid crystal layer between the first light-transmitting substrate and the second light-transmitting substrate; first electrode and a second electrode disposed so as to sandwich the liquid crystal layer; and light emitter comprising a first light emitter configured to emit light in a first color, a second light emitter configured to emit light in a second color, and a third light emitter configured to emit light in a third color, wherein first light emitter has a temperature characteristic in which a relative light intensity decreases more with increase in a heating temperature than in the case of the second light emitter and the third light emitter.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a display panel including a display area, a camera opposed to the display area of the display panel, and a controller that controls drive of the display panel and drive of the camera, the controller compares a position of an image of an eye of a user displayed in the display area and a position of the camera, and moves, in a case where difference is present between the position of the image of the eye of the user and the position of the camera, an image of the user such that the position of the image of the eye of the user is superposed on the position of the camera.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first transparent substrate, a second transparent substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a third transparent substrate having a first side surface, a second side surface, and an inner surface, a transparent layer arranged on the inner surface, and light emitting elements. The transparent layer includes a band-shaped portion extending from the first side surface toward the second side surface and a frame-shaped portion formed in a frame shape surrounding the band-shaped portion. The band-shaped portion is separated from the frame-shaped portion. A width of the band-shaped portion on a first side surface side is larger than a width of the band-shaped portion on a second side surface side.

    Abstract: A display device includes: an array substrate; a counter substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the array substrate and the counter substrate; and a light source disposed so as to emit light into a side surface of the array substrate or a side surface of the counter substrate. The array substrate includes: signal lines arranged in a first direction with spaces interposed between the signal lines; scan lines arranged in a second direction with spaces interposed therebetween; a switching element coupled to a corresponding one of the scan lines and a corresponding one of the signal lines; an organic insulating layer that covers at least the switching element; and a metal layer provided on the upper side of the organic insulating layer so as to overlap the organic insulating layer. A positional misalignment portion of each signal line does not overlap a positional misalignment portion of the metal layer.

    Abstract: A display device includes: an array substrate; a counter substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the array substrate and the counter substrate; and a light source. The array substrate includes: signal lines; scanning lines; a grid-shaped organic insulating layer that extends along the scanning lines and the signal lines and overlies the scanning lines and the signal lines; pixel electrodes provided in regions surrounded by the scanning lines and the signal lines; and a first orientation film that covers the pixel electrodes. A portion of each pixel electrodes overlaps a slant surface of the organic insulating layer. The counter substrate includes: a common electrode overlapping the respective pixel electrodes; a protective film that has an insulating capability and a light transmitting capability and covers a side of the common electrode facing the array substrate at least in the display region; and a second orientation film that covers the protective film.

    Abstract: A display device includes an array substrate, a counter substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the array substrate and the counter substrate. The array substrate includes signal lines, scan lines, a grid-shaped organic insulating layer covering over the scan lines and the signal lines, pixel electrodes, and a first orientation film covering the pixel electrodes. A portion of each pixel electrode is provided above a slant surface of the organic insulating layer and overlaps the slant surface. The counter substrate includes a common electrode overlapping the pixel electrodes, an insulating protective film covering the common electrode, and a second orientation film covering the protective film and the common electrode. A region overlapping an opening surrounded by the scan lines and the signal lines has a non-overlapping region of the protective film where the common electrode and the second orientation film are directly stacked without interposing the protective film therebetween.

The liquid crystal layer includes a polymer in a shape of a streak and a liquid crystal molecule. The scanning line includes a conductive layer located between the first insulating substrate and the liquid crystal layer, and a first reflective layer located between the first insulating substrate and the conductive layer and having a reflectance higher than a reflectance of the conductive layer.
