摘要: An ink composition is provided which can realize good images on plain paper, and, especially when used in an ink jet recording method, can have excellent ejection stability, storage stability, color development, and fixation and is much less likely to cause color bleeding and uneven printing and thus can realize good image quality. The ink composition comprises at least a pigment, a compound represented by formula (I), water, and a water-soluble organic solvent wherein R1 to R7 each independently represent an alkyl group; j and k are an integer of 1 or more; EO represents an ethyleneoxy group; PO represents a propyleneoxy group; and m+n is an integer of 1 or more.

摘要: An ink composition is disclosed which can realize an image possessing excellent rubbing/scratch resistance and color reproduction in color ink jet recording and has advantages as a superpenetrating ink composition. The ink composition comprises at least a specific colorant, water, a water-soluble dispersant, and a penetrant, wherein the penetrant is 0.1 to 5% by weight of an acetylene glycol compound and the water-soluble dispersant is a water-soluble styrene/(meth)acrylic acid resin in an amount of 0.1 to 1 part by weight on a solid basis based on the pigment. An ink set capable of forming an excellent color image in color ink jet recording is also disclosed which comprises an orange ink composition and/or a green ink composition in combination with a yellow ink composition, a magenta ink composition, and a cyan ink composition that have hitherto been used in the color ink jet recording. The ink set consists essentially of three ink compositions, a yellow ink composition, a magenta ink composition, and a cyan ink composition, and, in addition, an orange ink composition and/or a green ink composition.

摘要: The entire part of a rear surface 2 of a nozzle plate 1 excluding peripheral portions 6 of nozzle holes 4 is coated with a resist tape, and this nozzle plate 1 is immersed in an electrolytic solution in which ions of a metal and particles of a water-repellent resin are dispersed to provide a plating thereon, and the plated nozzle plate 1 in the electrolytic solution is then heated to a temperature that is higher than a melting point of the water-repellent resin, whereby an entire portion extending from a front surface 3 of the nozzle plate 1 and the nozzle holes 4 contiguous to the front surface to the rear surface 2 is provided with a eutectoid plating layer 8 to suppress deviation of the passage of ink droplets due to wetting by an ink or the like.

The surface of the ink passage according to the present invention has a high hydrophilicity and can rapidly remove bubbles formed within the ink passage. The recording head according to the present invention need not conduct filling of a liquid in the course of transportation and can be transported in an empty state.

摘要: An ink composition for ink jet recording is provided which can satisfy property requirements of quality of print, drying property of print, clogging resistance, water resistance, storage stability, and nonattacking on members constituting an ink passage, such as a printing head. The ink composition for ink jet recording comprises a dye represented by the following formula (I), glycerin, pyrrolidone, a monohydric lower alcohol, a tri(hydroxyalkyl)amine, and water: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents phenyl or naphthyl substituted by a group selected from hydroxyl, --NH.sub.2, --SO.sub.3 M and --COOM, R.sup.2 represents carboxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, phenyl, or alkanoyl, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, and R.sup.5 represent hydrogen or --SO.sub.3 M.

摘要: The present invention provides an ink jet recording head for use in an ink jet recording device, wherein a water-repellent layer (21) comprising a homogeneous layer of a fluoropolymer is formed on the surface of a nozzle for jetting an ink. This water-repellent layer can be formed as a dense, homogeneous layer through the use of a solvent-soluble fluoropolymer, which enables an ink jet recording head excellent in the water-repellent property, the persistence of the water repellency and the durability.
