摘要: A stopper is slidably mounted on a bearing surface on the end wall of the inner member accommodating chamber of the outer member of a sliding-type universal joint. The bearing surface can be provided on a raised portion of the end wall larger in diameter than the diameter of a flange provided on the base of the stopper. The bearing surface is perpendicular to the axis of the outer member. A retainer in the form of a cylindrical member can be fitted to the outer periphery of the raised portion and can have an engagement portion to engage the flange of the stopper while allowing radial play of the stopper.

摘要: In a slide type universal joint mounted between two transmission shafts between which power is transmitted, to connect both the shafts in a pivotable manner, a plurality of axially extending transmission grooves are provided in an inner peripheral surface of a hollow cylindrical outer member connected to one of the transmission shafts, while radial trunnions are mounted on an inner member connected to the other transmission shaft to project into the corresponding transmission grooves of the outer member. An inner roller is slidably fitted on the outer periphery of the trunnion and in turn, a holder is fitted on the outer periphery of the inner roller for rotatable support of an outer roller which is rollable within the transmission grooves. A regulating mechanism is provided between the holder and the outer member for preventing inclination of the holder with respect to the transmission groove while permitting smooth rolling movement of the outer roller within the transmission groove.

摘要: A thin film type thermal head includes a head substrate member, a partial projected glaze portion mounted on the head substrate member, a plurality of heating resistor elements provided on the partial projected glaze portion with each of the heating resistor elements having a uniform thin thickness and two electrode end portions. A common electrode is provided on the partial projected glaze portion and an individual control electrode is also provided on the partial projected glaze portion. The partial projected glaze portion has at least two projected portions of different height with the plurality of heating resistor elements having a portion thereof disposed on at least the highest projected portion of the partial projected glaze portion with both electrode end portions of each of the heating resistor elements being disposed on the partial projected glaze portion other than the highest projected portion of the partial projected glaze portion so as to enable a recording dot to become narrow in the printing direction.

摘要: A thermal transfer printer wherein the carriage is equipped with the ribbon cassette and the thermal head and has a take-up shaft engageable with the take-up core of the ribbon cassette, and clutch means is provided between the motion converting means and the take-up shaft of the carriage, rotational force is transmitted from said motion converting means to the clutch means, and the clutch means cuts off the transmission of the rotational force to the take-up shaft. The rubbing transfer phenomenon does not occur, since, the ink ribbon starts to travel before the thermal head contacts the platen or after the thermal head separates the platen. It is possible to effect control such that no rubbing transfer occurs even when the thermal head is pressed against the platen to effect printing while the carriage is moving transversely at high speed.

摘要: A thermal trasfer printer including a thermal head, and a platen positioned against the thermal head through a printing sheet. The thermal head has a substrate formed of heat insulating material, at least one glaze layer on a top surface of the substrate extending longitudinally thereof, a plurality of heat generating elements on the glaze layer, a plurality of electrodes each connected to the heat generating elements in a manner to form an opening for the heat generating elements and a protective layer for preventing the electrodes and heat generating elements from contacting the printing sheet to avoid their wear. A portion of the protective layer for protectng the heat generating elements has a height which is greater by more than 5 .mu.m than the height of a portion of the protective layer for protecting the electrodes. The width of the glaze layer transversely of the substrate is less than 200 .mu.m at a location which is 10 .mu.m below a top surface of the portion of the protective layer for protecting the heat generating elements in a vertical direction. The platen is a flat platen and its deflection caused to occur by a biasing force exerted on the thermal is more than 0.02 time and less than twice as great as the height of the glaze layer.

摘要: In a serial thermal transfer printer or serial thermal printer comprising; a thermal head having a plurality of heat elements arrayed in a line; and means for selectively energizing and driving the plurality of heat elements in synchronous relation with the relative movement between the thermal head and the ink ribbon or heat sensitive paper, wherein when printing dots are successively positioned in the direction of the relative movement between the thermal head and the ink ribbon or heat sensitive paper, printing timing of the last dot is set ahead so as to be earlier than normal printing timing. When the previous printing data is "1" (recording) and the subsequent printing data is "0" (not recording), the position of the present printed dot is shifted toward the previous printed dot to compress the entire width in case of two or more successive dots. Since the printing head is traveling continuously during printing, the position of the present printed dot can be shifted toward the previous printed dot by advancing the printing timing. If the previous printing data is "0" and subsequent printing data is "1", it is apparent that a similar effect can be obtained by setting the printing timing backward so as to shift the position of the present printed dot toward the subsequent printed dot.

摘要: When a load of a fuel cell to which hydrogen gas is supplied from a fuel reformer reactor is suddenly decreased, the temperature in the reformer reactor is rapidly increased, thereby damaging the construction materials thereof. In order to solve this problem, a controlling system for the reforming reaction transitionally reduces the pressure in the reformer reactor when the sudden decrease of load takes place, so as to increase the reaction rate in said reformer reactor, and to increasing the quantity of endothermic heat by said reaction, thereby controlling the rapid increase of temperature in the reformer reactor.

摘要: The lubricant composition of the invention is very effective in extending the fatigue life and increasing the corrosion resistance of the machine parts lubricated therewith. The lubricant composition comprises two types of essential additives of (a) a dithiocarbamic acid ester and/or an alkyl thiocarbamoyl compound and (b) a 1,3,4-thiadiazole compound admixed with the lubricant base material each in a limited amount. In addition to the above mentioned advantages, the resistance against scoring can further be increased by the admixture of the lubricant composition with a third additive (c) such as sulfurized olefins, sulfurized oils, sulfurized oxymolybdenum dithiocarbamates, sulfurized oxymolybdenum organophosphordithioates, phosphoric acid esters and phosphorous esters.

摘要: A thermal printer includes an inked ribbon, an inked ribbon take-up mechanism, a print head with two arrays of thermal resistance elements, a carriage mounting the print head, and a controller for controlling the print operation. The printer is provided with print mode switching circuit which selects low-speed print mode in which one array of thermal resistance elements is activated for each dot pitch for printing, or high-speed print mode in which the two arrays of thermal resistance elements are activated alternately for every dot pitch for printing. The printer having the print head with two thermal resistance elements is capable of high-speed printing and also high quality printing at a low print speed.

摘要: The positional resolution of a display of graphic information generated from a digital-encoded description taken from memory is improved without increasing the fine-line resolution of the display, this being done to reduce the memory required to store the digitally encoded description of the display. The departure of the pixels in the display from their normal position in a raster defined by a relatively coarse scanning line structure and limited video bandwidth is digitally encoded; and the bits of the code are stored in respective memory planes, each having an array of storage locations mapping the normal positions of pixels in the display raster.
