Abstract:
Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate communicating user plane data over common control resources by specifying a UTRAN radio network temporary identifier (U-RNTI). In this regard, a Node B or an RNC receiving the user plane data can associate the data to the UE based on the U-RNTI. The user plane data can be transmitted in a control message with the associated U-RNTI, such as a CELL UPDATE message or another message having a U-RNTI specified in a media access control (MAC)-i header or other header in the message. The control message can also include parameters regarding the existence and specifications of the user plane data. In this regard, a UE can communicate user plane data when in a (UTRAN) registration area paging channel (URA_PCH) or other relatively inactive state though it has not received an enhanced radio network temporary identifier (E_RNTI).
Abstract:
The invention relates to interpreting the change in the increment of the RTP TS field as occurring either due to silence suppression for a voice flow or a change in sampling/frame rate of a video flow. By interpreting this change correctly, the value of the TS_STRIDE field in robust header compression may be correctly calculated leading to efficient header compression performance. In one aspect, there is disclosed a method of improving ROHC between an Access Network (AN) having a compressor and an Access Terminal (AT) having a decompressor, comprising providing flow information to the compressor relating to a change in the increment of an RTP TS field of a header; determining the change in the increment of an RTP TS field as occurring either due to silence suppression or due to a change in a sampling/frame rate; and taking appropriate action for TS_STRIDE.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, systems and computer program products are defined that provide for in-order deliver of data packets during hand-off. The aspects provide for in-order delivery at Forward Link Serving eBS/Data Attachment Point (FLSE/DAP) switch and Reverse Link Serving eBS/Data Attachment Point (RLSE/DAP) switch. As such, present aspects provide for significant improvement in the throughput of applications, such as applications relying on Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), during handoff, in such networks as Ultra Mobile Broadband (UMB) and the like.
Abstract:
A method of communicating speech comprising time-warping a residual low band speech signal to an expanded or compressed version of the residual low band speech signal, time-warping a high band speech signal to an expanded or compressed version of the high band speech signal, and merging the time-warped low band and high band speech signals to give an entire time-warped speech signal. In the low band, the residual low band speech signal is synthesized after time-warping of the residual low band signal while in the high band, an unwarped high band signal is synthesized before time-warping of the high band speech signal. The method may further comprise classifying speech segments and encoding the speech segments. The encoding of the speech segments may be one of code-excited linear prediction, noise-excited linear prediction or ⅛ frame (silence) coding.
Abstract:
One or more pluggable install components may be used with a modular install configuration engine. Each install component carries instructions that allow an install component to be used with the modular install configuration engine. Each install component also carries payload files for deployment onto a user's end system. Each install component may be created and updated by a number of vendors or programming groups. Upon installation, the install component and the modular install configuration engine are integrated to create a unique install program tailored to the needs of a particular customer.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for generating an SMS business message for processing by a software application comprising the steps of: a data collection interface accepting outgoing instructions and outgoing data from said software application; a message encoding engine encoding said outgoing instructions and outgoing data from said software application using an encoding template to generate the SMS business message as a categorized SMS message formatted for processing by a data processing system; and a dispatcher runtime processor processing said SMS business message for transmission over a network to a recipient.

Abstract:
The invention provides method and apparatus for collaboration between a plurality of associated portlets in a portal server comprising: associating each portlet with a portlet descriptor describing context names; forming collaboration groups of portlets having corresponding context names for sychronized contents.
Abstract:
Systems and methods provide a discovery protocol allowing nodes that are interested in knowing a network topology to discover other nodes in the network topology. The discovery protocol includes two message types, topology discovery messages and topology query messages. A node issues topology discovery messages upon powering up, at periodic intervals, or upon detecting a change in network topology. The topology discovery messages are broadcast to all nodes on a network and identify the issuing node to the network. A topology query message is sent to a particular node and requests a response from the receiving node regarding the neighboring nodes of the receiving node. The querying node can use the response data to discover other nodes and to send the discovered nodes query messages such that the node can determine a network topology to a desired level of depth within the network.
Abstract:
In aspects of the present disclosure, a user equipment receives inter-NodeB multi-point transmissions, and a multipoint aggregation component detects a gap in the sequence numbers, delays transmitting a not acknowledged signal (NAK) by starting a NAK delay timer, and transmits, by a transceiver, NAK for the gap in sequence numbers in response to the NAK delay timer expiring and detecting that the gap has not been filled during the delaying. If the Medium Access Control (MAC) entity as the respective NodeB identifies itself to the Radio Link Control (RLC), out-of-order delivery (skew) can eventually be distinguished from genuine data loss before the NAK delay timer expires based upon tracking the highest sequence numbers received. Adaptive NAK delay timer can be performed by monitoring skew duration.
