Embodiments herein provide a method implemented in a User Equipment (UE). The method includes receiving, from a Mobility Management Entity (MME), a bearer resource modification reject message with a cause value, in response to a bearer resource modification request message sent to the MME. Further, the method includes deactivating an Evolved Packet System (EPS) bearer context information.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Embodiments herein provide a method for performing a routing ID (RID) update in user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication network.
Abstract:
Accordingly, embodiments herein disclose a method for a base station in a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving a paging message comprising including information associated with an access of a terminal to a Closed Access Group (CAG) cell from an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) server. Further, the method includes paging the terminal in a cell, which is identified based on the paging message.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for recovering from SOR failures are provided. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprises detecting a steering of roaming (SOR) failure during registering with a first visitor-public land mobile network (VPLMN) or after registration with the first VPLMN, wherein the UE operates in a manual mode; switching the manual mode to an automatic mode based on a determination that the SOR failure occurs; and performing PLMN selection procedure to obtain service on a second VPLMN which is a higher priority than the first VPLMN.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the inventive concept herein provide a method and User Equipment (UE) for handling PLMN selection involving Proximity Based Services (ProSe) communication. The method includes detecting one of a PLMN selection due to the ProSe communication followed by a manual Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) cell selection, and a manual CSG cell selection followed by the PLMN selection due to the ProSe communication, when the UE has stored a duplicate value of a Registered PLMN (RPLMN) and a duplicate of a PLMN selection mode. Further, the method includes preserving the stored duplicate value of the RPLMN and a stored duplicate of the PLMN selection mode.
Abstract:
A method in a mobile station (MS) and an MS in a wireless communication network are provided. The method includes detecting an intersystem change from an S1 mode to one of an A/Gb mode and an Iu mode, detecting that a routing area update (RAU) has failed detecting that a successful generic location updating procedure has not been performed since the detected intersystem change, and triggering an MM specific procedure based on detecting that the RAU has failed and the successful generic location updating procedure has not been performed. The MM specific procedure corresponds to a location area update (LAU).
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Disclosed is a method of operating a User Equipment, UE, the UE communicating with a telecommunication network via a satellite, wherein when a Non-Access Stratum, NAS, timer is determined, any restriction on use of an enhanced coverage indication from the telecommunication network is not considered when the NAS timer is determined.
Abstract:
A method performed by a user equipment (UE) for signaling using satellite access in a 4th generation (4G) or 5th generation (5G) network is provided. The method includes receiving, by the UE, a signal from a first network apparatus associated with a satellite when a feeder link is available between the first network apparatus and the second network apparatus associated with a ground network, storing, by the UE, the signal received from the first network apparatus, and determining, by the UE, a third network apparatus associated with the satellite to transmit a response signaling to a user equipment (UE) upon receiving the signal using the first network apparatus based on an expected location of the UE.
Abstract:
